Letter from Joe to Emma written June 4th, 1834 from Pike County, IL. (<------ "IL" is the abbreviation for the state of Illinois, not "indian Land"). Interesting to note that as Joe & Co traveled west from Ohio Joe romanticizes, "wandering over the plains of the Nephites, recounting occasionaly the history of the Book of Mormon....picking up their skulls & their bones, as PROOF of ITS DIVINE AUTHENTICITY..." Joe & Co were no where near Meso or Central America. Nope, they were just about smack dab in the center of North American and Joe just flat states that this area was "the plains of the Nephites".
This collection of papers from Smith are also interesting in the fact that they have been assembled and maintained by The Churchs Historian's Press which "is an imprint of the Church History Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints".
So there you have it. Historical documents of Joseph Smith owned, maintained and published by the LDS in which Smith plainly states that OHIO and ILLINOIS are "the plains of the Nephites".
Now you can attempt to twist and spin it anyway you want but the fact of the matter is that the various high ranking members of the church including SMITH himself, as evidenced by the publications of your own church have all stated that North America is the land where all of bom took place and, in Smith's own words, the skulls and bones they picked up were "PROOF OF ITS DIVINE AUTHENTICITY".
Or perhaps Smith was engaged in a debate on the subject and just mentioned his position in his letter to Emma??? LOL!!
What was the point of you posting any of this???
All North and South America is considered Book of Mormon Lands, however there is not one mention of where the Hill Cumorah is.
