THAT is a good point, rossum. I know the Buddha did seek training from two yoga teachers. I had been involved in SRF years go, not too long after I moved away for a new job, I never sought out SRF anyplace else, and most smaller towns where I have alays ended up do not have it anyways. I kept up reading the Yogananda's books and found them to be greatly inspiring.
I wonder if I will still get that degree of inspiration years later.
For example, mane years ago I went to the Unity Church and found that at the time, it wa a perfect match for me. But as I grew Spiritually, I sought something deeper and when I went to work in California that is where the SRF really clicked for me. It was the perfect Spiritual path for me, at that time. Ideal in every ay. But aftr moving aay and a few years ago, going back a few times to Unity, the aprk and interest just were not there like they used to be.
Which is why I am saying that yes I want to do Kriya Yoga but my beliefs mesh 100% with the teachings of Buddhism.
I will try to work in both, and see what comes of it THANKS for your response Very helpful.
