You did not answer the question. Who is it that gives the increase according to Paul?

The unregenerate are given understanding by the Spirit.

Sorry but according to the Calvinist the unregenerate cannot receive the things of the Spirit

Are you under the misconception that the word, "receive" has to mean the exact same thing every time it's used?

The word, "ερχομαι" has 5 main definitions and 15 sub-definitions according to BDAG. Are you aware of that?

This is what was sown along the path. 20 As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away.

What is your evidence that Calvinists can't believe Matt. 13:20?
