Regeneration through Faith in the gospel

They why doesn't everyone have faith? Are you seriously claiming that everyone has faith?
Yes, because faith comes by hearing the word of God.
Jesus make it clear in the parable of the sower and the seeds..
5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

I can't help you're not following the conversation. NewBirth claimed everyone that hears the Gospel has faith.

So verse 5 describes receiving faith?

So verse 5 describes receiving faith?
Vs 5 is explained in vs 11.
If you cannot understand the explanation that Jesus gave how can I help you?
The parable clearly explains that faith comes by hearing the word of God. What you do with the faith you get from the word of God that you hear is totally up to you. If you allow the devil to steal it you cannot then say you did not get it.

The seed is not "faith".

What is funny is that you get people sillier than you to like the nonsense you post. It is clear they did not read or follow the conversation to correct you. With friends like those, you don't need enemies...

Welcome to CARM, and perhaps your first dissenter! 😇 I would say that natural man has plenty of faith, it's just in the wrong thing! The gospel tells them the right thing in which to trust! "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved!" (Acts 16:31) "that God does not show favoritism 35but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right." (Acts10:34-35)

Responses like this is very dishonest.

What faith does the natural man have in God?

You mean Arminians aren't saved?
Well, being RCC and believing stuff like the Bereans were finding the eucharist and other rites in the OT before they decided to believe what Paul was saying, and all the Marian dogmas, and over the centuries kissing the ring of a Pope who commits incest, who is a murderer and yet claiming that they represent Jesus Christ and to be under that authority, is the truth of Arimianism and the truth of your TEAM TRUTH then I doubt it very much.

It is best for a believer to completely leave the Christian denominational system all together. It is of Babylon! God bless you. :)

God supplies faith to believers who trust in God and it is spiritual faith which an unbeliever does not have and will never have! Yes, God has faith and it is the faith of God at work in the believer! God bless you. :)

I have never been able to get them to answer where faith and belief came from or originated.

because we / they do not know ? there are many unknowns out there... and good ideas too. but if we really start to think we know (too much) before really seeking the truth from God... and continuing to seek even while finding some here... some there... ("for we know in part" not in whole possibly yet and for an unknown time -- of seeking)

.... then we inadvertently can shut ourselves off from really learning truth -- more and more... instead of just staying with some parts correct -- some parts incorrect and/ or undefined or part incorrect / and part true . "let not many of you become teachers" -- because we can be very wrong if we really think we know -- but don't know that we don't know....

Yes. And the word "faith" clearly implies belief.

Okay, so you don't know.
Well if you don't know, then don't pretend to know what others know, because you have already admitted that you don't. Ignorance of how God does what He does in believers isn't something a believer should relish.

Belief and faith is a gift of God, belief and faith is God's "way" in making Himself known to believers. And if you don't know this, then it is just because you disbelieve it. God has ordained faith and belief perfect in its capacity to make Himself known to believers, because all faith pertains to the truth and reality of God.

Agreed. Faith would be what results from hearing and believing the word of God.

You are trolling... Vs 11 says the seed is the word of God. No one said the seed is faith. You are playing smart with foolishness.

All believers believe their faith and belief in God originates in and with God. All believers believe their saving belief was a gift of God and came from God. And if you disbelieve this, then you can't be a believer.

Since I didn’t say that natural man has faith in God, it is you that is having response issues!

I have said that natural man has a demonstrable capacity for faith, but that it is in the wrong thing. That is being quite honest!
