You would not know about the garden without the scripture
 
All of scripture when properly translated are His words He Speaks to His souls… the OT prophets for example who He instructed and who then wrote down what He Said.
 
yes it does because His creation and that we lost it and can go Home again is the whole point. All God has done is try to get us back and restore His Creation.
