Who did Jesus give Himself a ransom for ?

Transferring the actual car to that person may be a different thing though.

It seems CookedGoose you're insisting as well that atonement would mean one would be automatically justified before God. You might be tempted to keep that way of thinking as you think it would back up your Calvinsim but scriptures says though we have access by faith into his grace, or by applying our faith by repenting, believing and receiving the grace of God, in our lives it becomes realized. Doesn't mean their atonement wasn't actually achieved. So one must apply their faith to make what God already provided actually in real terms become theirs. Atonement is the grounds for our justification but to actually be justified faith MUST be applied. Rom 5:1

Such is why the claims that non-Calvinists believe in universalism fails to be true.
I think you're arguing Christ's work on the cross isn't necessarily finished.
Is that right?

"7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his
Who is the this wicked one, that Jesus will destroy with the brightness of his coming? The Antichrist?
coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
Antichrist?
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
So we are agreed they would not receive the love of the truth, ie they refused to come to God. So they are damned anyway, no?
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
What's the delusion you think, what lie will they believe, who is mentioned above? What event are we talking about here?
It looks much different when you actually look at the context, and not a verse in isolation, doesn't it?
No, my argument stands, you have added more context, but it essentially deals with those in the last days of the antichrist. Many will follow the antichrist believing he is god. That's the strong delusion, isn't it?

Are you claiming for people not to believe in God, God has to send them a strong delusion for them to not believe, what happened to total depravity?
For this, these people you speak of are so damned of God, that He would ensure that they should believe a lie.
It's dealing with those people in the last days, they refused the gospel and so God allowed the antichrist to perform lying wonders and convince them he was god, that's the strong delusion, I suspect, nothing to do with why people rejecting Christ for their love of sin, that's been happening for 2000 years. This delusion is a one off event, that appears to be close to the time of the antichrist on earth.

1 Jesus died for/atoned for/propiated the sins of/eliminated judgment for every single person.
2 But you have to believe for it to count.

1 and 2 conflict with each other because non-believers fall into the category of every single person.
If #1 is true #2 can't be true, and vice versa.
Human reasoning not scriptural reasoning. FAIL.

a question is not an answer, next

try giving an answer, an apologia.

apologia: a speech in defense
Original Word: ἀπολογία, ας, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: apologia
Phonetic Spelling: (ap-ol-og-ee'-ah)
Definition: a speech in defense
Usage: a verbal defense (particularly in a law court).

1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer ( apologia )to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
You should know. lol Lets try again for the lurkers sake.

If Christ paid it all for all then on what basis is anyone judged? Is it all sins or some sins?

We have been though this with over 12k of responses . PSA is not the only viable theory on the atonement and in fact is the newest of the 7 others . @armylngst and I even agreed on the wrath part of PSA in a recent discussion. He wasn’t attacked by any Calvinist for his view and said to be a heretic or false teacher for holding that view in common with me.
Lol

he don’t know they all parts of a whole.

lol

Judgement will fall on anyone who is not in Christ, they refuse to come to Christ and take refuge from the coming judgement. God has given them a way to escape that. Stop playing games and get serious.
Refusing to come is not a sin? Paid for on the cross? Did He pay it all or only for some?

A person can refuse to follow through after a ransom is paid. Why would it have to be different for scripture? Christ died for all doesn't have to mean all will get saved.
Christ did pay the ransom for all of his elect . Paid in full by his blood and by fulfilling his Father's will. You guys cannot accept that it's God decision or will. That this makes God unfair. But isn't this question answered by Paul?

Romans 9:14What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God’s part? By no means! 15For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”16So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.

It does only through the lens of N Jones and his followers.

Below we see from the Greek Lexicon that the word cosmos means the inhabitants of the world, the human race as a whole and all of its ungodly multitude as a whole

"the ungodly multitude; the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ" (cf. Winer's Grammar, 26): John 7:7; John 14:27 (); ; 1 Corinthians 1:21; 1 Corinthians 6:2; 1 Corinthians 11:32; 2 Corinthians 7:10; James 1:27; 1 Peter 5:9; 2 Peter 1:4; 2 Peter 2:20; 1 John 3:1, 13; 1 John 4:5; 1 John 5:19; of the aggregate of ungodly and wicked men in O. T. times, Hebrews 11:38; in Noah's time, ibid. 7; with οὗτος added, Ephesians 2:2 (on which see αἰών, 3); εἶναι ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου and ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου (see εἰμί, V. 3rd.), John 8:23; John 15:19; John 17:14, 16; 1 John 4:5;λαλεῖν ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου, to speak in accordance with the world's character and mode of thinking, 1 John 4:5; ὁ ἄρχων τοῦ κόσμου τούτου, i. e. the devil, John 12:31; John 14:30; John 16:11; ὁ ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ he that is operative in the world (also of the devil), 1 John 4:4; τό πνεῦμα τοῦ κόσμου

1 John 2:2-He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 2:15-17
-Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

1 John 4:3-6- but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

1 John 4:14- And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world

1 John 5:19
- We know that we are from God, andthe whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

We see above that the whole world lies under the evil one and its that same identical whole world in 1 John 2:2 that Jesus made PROPITIATION for which is clear from the CONTEXT in 1 John.

Now its very clear from the Lexicon definition and in 1 John that the cosmos/world does not mean Gods elect (that is Calvinism) not what John means in his epistle. It clearly means everyone not exceptions in this world, all of its inhabitants who make up the ungodly multitude. It is clearly all inclusive of everyone, all, the entire world that lies under the evil one in opposition to God from the context of 1 John.

hope this helps !!!

No thanks.

I don’t trust your teachings.
You have turned your back on essential biblical doctrines.

The word does not consider believers carnal. When it says carnal, it’s referring to unbelievers.

So please, put a lid on it.
Thanks
