DEBATE: Is prayer to Mary & the saints worship?

That is what we will be attempting to do during the debate.

    The Immaculate Conception

Yes, but that quotation from Galatians isn't addressing the context of my previous post.

DEBATE: Is prayer to Mary & the saints worship?

At the very least, I hope you watch the debate, listen objectively to BOTH arguments, and then make up your mind then...as opposed to basing your opinion on your preconceived worldview.

DEBATE: Is prayer to Mary & the saints worship?

Wouldn't it be better to pray that truth would be revealed, even if it doesn't hold to your personal worldview?

    The Immaculate Conception

Jesus is only our "brother" is the same sense that those who are His SPIRITUAL family who do the will of God are His "brother & sister & mother" (Mark 3:34-35) And by "mother," Jesus was NOT saying that Mary is "Mother of the Church" or "Queen Mother" of Heaven. He is using this phrase...

    The Immaculate Conception

I understand that God is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. That's not the issue. You're not understanding what I am saying. Please pay attention to the details of what I am saying: If Mary is the DAUGHTER of God the Father, and she is SPOUSE to the Holy Spirit, and she is QUEEN MOTHER of...

    The Immaculate Conception

No you didn't, because you didn't respond to what I actually asked you. Let's try again: Theologically, if Mary is the SPOUSE of the Holy Spirit, the beloved DAUGHTER of God the Father, and MOTHER of Jesus Christ, then theologically, what would be the relationship between God the Father &...

    The Immaculate Conception

Try again. Obviously, Protestants aren't the ones who can't think theologically.

    What are you reading?

If you want to read a really good book on the end-times, I highly recommend "The Second Coming" by John MacArthur (same author as the Daily Bible I mentioned before). His reading plan is really good too. It's amazing how much you forget, even if you have read the Bible before. Going through a...

    What are you reading?

I just finished reading through the MacArthur Daily Bible where you commit to reading a portion of it each day: 2 chapters from the Old Testament, part of the Psalms & Proverbs, and 1 chapter of the New Testament. Now, I am reading about end times, and Christian books arguing against evolution.

    The Immaculate Conception

Think through this for just a second. Theologically, if Mary is the SPOUSE of the Holy Spirit, the beloved DAUGHTER of God the Father, and MOTHER of Jesus Christ, then theologically, what would be the relationship between God the Father & Jesus Christ, if Mary is the DAUGHTER of God the Father...

    Mary as Aeiparthenos; why?

And like many of the Marian verbiage of the Roman Catholic Church, they have twisted this term "ever-virgin" beyond what the term originally meant, which simply meant that Mary had always been a virgin up to the birth of Jesus. Early Catholics then adopted the term to refer to Mary being a...

How we can be certain Psalm 69 is a Messianic Psalm & Psalm 69:8 is a Messianic verse

The same could be asked, since Psalm 69:9 begins with a conjunction ("for"), which means it is connecting v.8 to v.9, and v.9 is meant to be taken literally, your mistake is that you are not taking v.8 literally. Compare the wording of v.8 to Deuteronomy 13:6.

How we can be certain Psalm 69 is a Messianic Psalm & Psalm 69:8 is a Messianic verse

Except that Deuteronomy 13:6 demonstrates that "your brother, your mother's son" refers to the biological brother of the same mother. "Your mother's son" means biological brother. Your allegorical belief conflicts with Scripture. Plus, it completely ignores everything else in my OP, such as...

How we can be certain Psalm 69 is a Messianic Psalm & Psalm 69:8 is a Messianic verse

"I have become estranged from My brothers, And an alien to My mother's sons." (Psalm 69:8) We can be certain this is a Messianic Psalm fulfilled by Jesus, because Psalm 69:9 ("For zeal for Your house has consumed me"), which was fulfilled by Jesus in John 2:17, begins with the word "For." This...

What is the difference between the Pharisees & Sadducees?

Question: What is the difference between the Pharisees & Sadducees? Answer: The Sadducees don't believe in the Resurrection. That's why they are "Sad-You-See"?

Debate: Trent Horn vs Steve Christie (Marian dogmas)

I think you missed the point of why I quoted Trent. As a Catholic, he doesn't believe in sola scriptura. Yet, that comment "is" a sola scriptura statement...which when Trent said it during his debate against James White, I don't think he realized what he said.
