I love the Right, if only for their sense of humor

It's one of those things that started with a tweet during her campaign and was never verified.

Bad news for Philly Hoagie lovers...

I have the choice of three grocery chains. None of them have suffered more than a one day of any kind of shortages, usually eggs. And rarely more than twice in a month. The prices are up, but the shortages are rare in New Hampshire.

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

You seem to be making 'hanging out' into one-off, specific activity. It isn't. It is whatever anyone decides to make of it at the time. Do you honestly think that women can't get together and do nothing? Do you honestly get together with other men and approximate not thinking?

    Maine lawmaker asked to resign

I'm merely presenting it as an example of what can happen when politicians do their jobs the way they are supposed to without the partisan rancor.

    Maine lawmaker asked to resign

No one is crying here. This is simply an example that governance can occur without the hysteria by simply doing what should be considered right by both sides. It's hardly reminiscing. It's actually happening as we speak. I have? By pointing to a bit of civility in chaos? And who would that be?

    Maine lawmaker asked to resign

It seems the thread topic police is a hypocrite.

    Maine lawmaker asked to resign

That is what we are going to find out. If he is convicted of the crime, he can be removed. I'm not familiar enough with their House rules to know if any other option is available.

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

Sorry, but they do. It's not a man vs. woman thing. It's a what do I do with my time thing. Sorry if this sounds a bit flip, but who hangs out in a lesbian bar?

    Maine lawmaker asked to resign

A Democratic rep from Waldoboro, Maine has been asked by the Speaker of the House (a Democrat) to resign after allegations surfaced that he violated Maine's Clean Elections Act by forging signatures that enabled him to receive public funding for his campaign...

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

You've been hanging out with the wrong women.

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

I recall you posting those studies. If I recall correctly, many of them were older and smaller case studies, and a couple, at least, were about gay/lesbian stats and had nothing to do with trans gender issues. You did present one large study that supported your numbers, but that was the only one...

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

There have been a couple of noted cases involving trans gender students raping another student. While rare, it unfortunately does occur. For my part, I feel it speaks more to whatever makes rape far too common in the US than to the trans gender issue.

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

It's a tricky subject. Duty to inform and duty to disclose (to authorities) are two of the grayest areas a teacher has to deal with.

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

And neither you nor I can say it was not recognized in their decision. Did the story even hint that it was ignored? You're assuming quite a lot here. Are you aware what the school board's policy is on duty to inform? Here's another story, from last July. The case is still ongoing, as far as I...

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

The student approached the school about the issue. There is no hint of any agenda by the school in this story. I'm sure. This is what I was talking about in my initial response. Both sides are going to scream and holler about what "must be" happening rather than discussing what is actually...

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

I don't see this as a reach for power. What are they gaining?

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

Agreed. But the decision to tell them must belong to the child.

Be quiet - the parents don't have to know

I found this section to be telling: The student, now 16, told The New York Times that his school had provided him with a space to be himself that he otherwise lacked. He had tried to come out to his parents before, he said, but they didn’t take it seriously, which is why he asked his school for...

CDC Warns of Strokes with Pfeizer Booster

Emotional, yep. Fallacy, nope. Well then, dig through the papers.

CDC Warns of Strokes with Pfeizer Booster

That's possible. But it's not happening with the lame 'evidence' that's been talked about, but not presented, here.
