Two Questions: If you can lose your salvation, then...

Wrong... that is what the Arminians do.... but hey... you guys don't care about a live discussion to go over these things...

Are we justified by faith when we have faith?

"But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness," (Romans 4:5). Notice that the verse says when a person believes, his faith is credited as righteousness. If baptism is necessary for salvation then this verse cannot be...

    From Matt Slick to Everyone

I really liked the threaded hybrid view, but it has fallen out of favor among forum designers. If there's an add-on for the software that allows it, I would definitely get it

Two Questions: If you can lose your salvation, then...

Have you forgiven EVERY trespass against you? Have you? Are there some trespasses against you that you've forgotten? So, are you NOT saved WHILE you've not forgiven someone, but then you get forgiven and saved once YOU forgive someone? Can you answer.

Wow... an here I thought my salvation deepened on Christ's work, not mine.

    A bunch of anti-calvinist-no-shows

Good point. Jesus and Paul met them face to face and had live discussions. The anti's here, seem more willing to hide behind nick names than come out into the light and talk.

Two Questions: If you can lose your salvation, then...

    1) If you can lose your salvation, then what must you do TO lose it? 2) If you can lose your salvation, then what must do to NOT lose it? I'm interested in direct answers, maybe even a list. If you can't answer either question, then how do you know if you're saved?

    A bunch of anti-calvinist-no-shows

I don't buy it. I think the anti's are afraid of real, live dialogue.

    A bunch of anti-calvinist-no-shows

Because of the anti-Calvinists sentiment among some people here I offered to do a Q&A session with them. I gave several days' notice and finally, I opened up a live chat room and pasted the link in these forums as well as on my personal Facebook page and the CARM Facebook page. They didn't show...

What does "opened up to" mean?

Open Discussion with Matt Slick, 10/29/2020, 9PM EST

This was originally meant to be for the Calvinism Arminianism board, but I thought I'd open it up to everyone since the anti-calvinists seem hesitant to participate in a live discussion where I can answer their questions. So, perhaps a broader audience might like to participate in a discussion...

Live Discussion on Calvinism Arminianism with Matt Slick, 10/29/2020, 9PM EST

Interesting... No participants from the anti-Calvinist side? I thought people would like the opportunity to dialogue. Am I wrong? Do the anti-Calvinists NOT want to participate in a friendly, live discussion? Honestly, I'm surprised that none have agreed to dialogue here. What do you think...

The Value of Evangelism in Reform Theology

It is not necessarily true that God loves everyone. Read Psalm 5:5; 11:5. Furthermore, given the verses in Psalms, you don't know if God loves anybody that you are speaking with. Finally, I witness a great deal and I simply say Jesus died for sinners. I tell them that they need to repent and...

    Live Chat Discussion on Calvinism

First things first. I'm offering the opportunity for the people here who are posting. After all, it is in this thread that the anti-Calvinist perspective is presented. I was addressing the people here. Perhaps Leighton and I can arrange a debate later on.

    Live Chat Discussion on Calvinism

TomFL, do you consider Leighton to be on your side? Curious. He is making lots of mistakes in Calvinism. He's been corrected before. Nevertheless, I am offering this opportunity to people to have a friendly discussion. It is NOT to be hostile. I am well versed in Reformed Theology along with...

Dr. Picirilli on World, Whole World

Jesus was not sent to the whole world (Matthew 15:24). He was only sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. This means that the covenantal aspect of God's work with Israel was the intent that the Messiah come to redeem Israel. But because the nation of Israel broke the covenant with God...

    Live Chat Discussion on Calvinism

After reading some threads here and seeing some of the misrepresentations of the reformed perspective, I thought I would offer an opportunity for people to gather for a live chat discussion on Calvinism. I could set up a zoom or streamyard session and provide people with the opportunity to enter...
