Yet another lawsuit against Gateway Pundit...

https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/two-georgia-election-workers-sue-conspiracy-site-gateway-pundit-for-defamation/ There is an article about this in the AJC today, but it is behind a paywall, so I had to find a source that was not. Ruby Freeman and Shayne West were victims of fake news...

Sad article about abuse of nuns in convents

I saw this just now in Yahoo news, but it is originally from Reuters: https://news.yahoo.com/catholic-nuns-lift-veil-abuse-102433462.html I know not all convents are like this, but this is certainly...sad and disturbing.

    Does anyone play G5 games

On their tablets? I play Homicide Squad: New York, and the LA version, Crime Mysteries. I like both, though they can be frustrating at times. Just curious. 🙂

    Fun speculation.....

if one of the TV chefs were dining at your house--like say, Gordon Ramsey or Robert Irvine, or any other TV chef you could like--what would you make for him or her? If I had time, I would make my MIL's German Sauerbraten recipe, with German-style sweet and sour red cabbage, and German style...

Oral version of remdisavir is showing promise in treating covid-19....

I saw an article about it in the AJC,, but since it is behind a paywall, I can't link to it. But I found the original article, from which the newspaper is getting the info, on here, a high-quality scientific website: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-021-26760-4 This study was conducted...

What is the nastiest, vilest thing you have ever eaten?

I don't mean a certain food, like liver, you may dislike, but a prepared dish. I can tell you mine. In June 2018, my husband and I went on a combined land trip/cruise to Alaska, for 2 weeks. Near the end of the land part of the trip, we stayed in a wonderful, lovely hotel, near a town south of...

More on the abuse scandal in the RCC, in France:

I don't remember reading about the sex abuse of children in the RCC until the very early 2000's. I remember reading about it in TIME magazine, and in the newspaper. It is...shameful that it took so long for it to come to light in the CC, and for the Pope and Magisterium to start doing something...

Another drug that shows promise in treating covid-19

From Reuters, as seen on Yahoo News: https://news.yahoo.com/merck-says-research-shows-covid-161309111.html It is encouraging to see more hopeful treatments for those who get covid-19. So, I hope this, that Principle study on ivermectin going on in Oxford, England, now, and that gout drug...

Another potential treatment for covid-19 that might actually work....

This was in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution today. I found the article online and lo and behold, it isn't behind a paywall, as far as I can tell. But if no one else can access it, I will find it elsewhere...

Interesting article about how teen idols helped get the word out

...about getting the polio vaccine: https://news.yahoo.com/vaccination-became-hip-50s-thanks-150100817.html it originally came from National Geographic magazine Parents eagerly got their younger children vaccinated but teen agers were hesitant--part of the problem was calling the disease...

Could this be another source of vaccine misinformation?

Besides the disinformation 12? I ran across this and it is interesting. It comes from the Healthline Journal and the Wall Street Journal, not some conspiracy theory website. FWIW, I post the link...

Joke about the Purina Dog Chow diet....

Interesting find on covid-19 virus--sugary molecules!

This is quite interesting: https://news.yahoo.com/sugary-molecules-may-one-way-222903718.html It hasn't been peer reviewed yet, but it is certainly interesting. I wonder if a vaccine that prevented this molecule from forming could be developed...then the virus could not enter the cells and...

Can anyone tell me how to reactivate auto correct

in my phone? It somehow got deactivated. My husband is sick with shingles and in no mood to try to fix it. Auto-correct can be a pain in the backside, sometimes, but it also can be useful. I hunted all over Settings and didn't see anything about that. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Thanks!

Hubby and I saw a very good movie on TV a few days ago...

that I had recorded earlier. It is called "Instant Family", about a couple in late 30's who realize something is missing and take in three siblings to foster them--one is 15, one 10, and one is 6. My husband and I could relate to some of it, since we adopted a little girl from India when she was...

Cholesterol drug shows promise as a drug to treat covid-19...

I saw this today under my Yahoo account. It sounds very interesting: https://news.yahoo.com/cholesterol-drug-cuts-coronavirus-infection-133526795.html It shows some promise and if it pans out, it can be added to the few other drugs known to help treat covid-19. it is inexpensive and can be...
