     Codex Sinaiticus - the facts

A brilliantly sloppy forger? Or a sloppily brilliant forger? 😉 😂 🤣 😂 🤣 I guess some folks just have a hard time keeping their stories straight…

60% of RC's are pro-abortion, dogma change coming?

So. Causing his own daughter to to abort her child via his actions (shoving her down stairs or even giving her an abortifacient) is more palatable to him than sending her to a clinic?? Wow. Just wow. 😲

Where does Jesus say to follow the Roman Catholic Church

Amen! AND His sheep know they are His: Joh 10:4-5 BSB "When he [the True Shepherd] has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will flee from him because they do not recognize...

Why we have the perception we do

I'd say that the RCC hierarchy are the successors of the apostles Paul writes of in 2Cor.11. They have: another Jesus (their Jesus must go to its Mommy for everything), a different spirit (as seen by their fruits – or rather the lack of — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness...

Why we have the perception we do

And God's Word is dangerous – to both parties. God has often used His Word to open people's eyes to the falsehoods of the religious system which they believe.

     Scripture as the Definitive Guide

Their Masters tell them that "it's not really worship", and that message appeals to the natural man, and the laity says, "Oh. OK, it's not really worship," denying what everybody else can see is worship.

How do RCs resolve their many contradictions in beliefs etc?

Dubious. If their Masters haven't deigned to resolve these obvious contradictions, I'm not sure their followers can, or are willing to. "Ya just gotta b'leeve, ya know?"

Where does Jesus say to follow the Roman Catholic Church

Very true! I was just making the point that at some time after the Apostle John's death, Jesus' warning to the church (as seen in Revelation) did take place, and, rather than repenting, the people elected a "shepherd" for themselves. 😢 And that "shepherd" turned out to be grey, and furry, and...

     Tongues shall cease. - 1 Cor 13:8

Thanks for your respectful reply. The discussion on Tongues has been going on since what, the 1880s?, so I'm fairly confident we're not going to resolve it here! 😉

Where does Jesus say to follow the Roman Catholic Church

But when Jesus is no longer your leader, when He has "removed your lampstand", people will turn to anyone who sounds like they know what's what.

     Scripture as the Definitive Guide

True. And even with their altars, the RCC is defying what God has said: Exo 20:24-26 BSB You are to make for Me an altar of earth (of earth, @dingoling.!) and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and peace offerings, your sheep and goats and cattle. In every place where I cause My name to be...

     Scripture as the Definitive Guide

Dead people don't need to eat! Witness the Egyptians who were entombed with food and drink. When the pyramids were opened, the food was untouched. Mouldered, perhaps, but uneaten.

     Scripture as the Definitive Guide

That's beyond sad for a group that prides itself on being "the pillar and the foundation of truth". But the refrain of con-men has always been some form of "you can trust me!", whether it's with your goods or your soul.

     Tongues shall cease. - 1 Cor 13:8

Something to consider: Anyone ever hear a fax machine on the telephone line? A modem? An alarm system communicating with the central station? All a bunch of noise, incomprehensible to the human ear. Yet the sounds contain information – sometimes a lot of info – that can be understood by people...

     Tongues shall cease. - 1 Cor 13:8

I have decided that because there are counterfeit twenty-dollar bills that I shall no longer use them. Nor larger denominations, either! 🙄

Where does Jesus say to follow the Roman Catholic Church

Because their faith is entirely in the Church of the World centered in Rome. Rome tells them that they are not capable of understanding the Bible; that they need Rome to tell them the "real" meaning of Scripture, and the dupes laity say, "Yes, o Masters, tell us the Secret Knowledge!"

     Scripture as the Definitive Guide

And God said: Mar 10:45 "For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." (KJV)

And notice that the RCC "Jesus" apparently scoots as soon as it goes into the RC's mouth!

     Scripture as the Definitive Guide

Actually, the only "authority" the Roman Catholic Church has is that given to it by its dupes adherents. And the adherents are only too glad to surrender their responsibility to those who say, "Don't worry, We gotcha covered!"

     Scripture as the Definitive Guide

Because Rome is reaping the results of centuries of denying God's Word. First, they denied God's Word, then they denied the ECFs, then they denied their own church councils. So it is no wonder that modern RCs deny what their church has taught – they take after their Masters.
