A question about the garments of Adam and Eve

I recently came across claims that Ham (Noah's son) stole the garments of Adam and Eve from Noah, and later gave them to his son, Cush. Then Cush gave them to Nimrod. There is nothing in the Bible about this. Does anyone know where this belief came from?

Interesting.....
This is the first time I've ever heard anything like this.
I'd say it's a "wives tale" that somebody started.

Was this a general conversation with someone, or an article you'd read?

I heard the claim in a Trey Smith YT video. It's the first I've heard of it as well. But I thought someone on these forums might be aware of where this got started.

Sounds like the Trey Smith guy started it.

Is there any way you can contact him to ask directly about his source?

Sounds like a fantasy to me. Remember, Adam was out bustin' his butt for 900 years or so. What would his clothing look like? (Or smell like? 🤮) And this assumes that maybe someone thought that there was some kind of magic associated with the clothes?
Nah, I'll take the Brooklyn Bridge any day! 😁

I agree. SOMEONE felt the garments were magic, I guess. But I'm wondering where Trey Smith got his belief/claim and I want to check it out.

I don't know. I've never heard this before.

However, if I had to guess, I'd say it's probably got something to do with Mormonism, since Adam and Eve's garments figure prominently in the Temple Endowment Ceremony (and the Mormons get it backward in the TEC).

I didn't know Mormons revere the garments! So, the undergarments worn under their clothes are a symbol of Adam and Eve's garments? I will have to look into that Mormon belief. I don't think Trey Smith is Mormon. Apparently I can learn all about these garments if I subscribe to his premium content. Can't do that, so I guess I'll have to keep searching the Internet for more info.

In the Temple Endowment ceremony, "God" fashions fig leaf coverings for Adam and Eve. However, in the Bible, Adam and Eve made fig leaf coverings to hide their nakedness and God rejected their fig leaf coverings and fashioned animal skin coverings for them. It's why they wear the "temple garment" underwear.

I see. So, the temple garment is fashioned by man (like the fig leaf covering); and that sounds like they are still rejecting the sacrifice of life God provided them in the garden and on the cross in order to provide their own "grace" today. So sad...

Yes, I'll do that! Thanks for the link to his FaceBook. It will be interesting to know why he claims that.
When I went on his facebook page, I saw a website address too. I then perused the site, and there are a lot of videos on there. It may have a more coherent narrative available-- as well as an email contact. Yep.

Thank you SteveB. Yes, he has a lot of videos there on his website, but they are partial content compared to his premium "Partner" content. I am watching some of it now. I like his style, but I think some of his theology is off. He seems to make a lot of connections between obscure knowledge sources in order to create a new theology. I'm sending him an email with some questions about his references. I'll try to post his answers here if I get a reply.
