From about :20 to 8:00.
The Professor appears to say since they couldn't do anything about Trump they couldn't get their way but with Biden they have leverage.
Thanks for that, JJ.
I watched up to 6:15, and had to stop. There was way-too much editorializing being done by Carlson; taking 15-20 seconds of the professor speaking out of context, and making assumptions that were just crazy.
Wall Street was "infuriated" by Trump's election? Not a chance, and the professor said nothing like this.
China had "agents" at the "highest levels" of the US government? There's no serious evidence of this, though it's reasonable to think there might be a few agents here and there - though doubtfully at the "highest levels".
China used Wall Street to "control" the US government / policies? Not bloody-well likely. Wall Street certainly has influence on US policy, but that's because everyone wants to see Wall Street making lots of money. Big business has the same kind of influence, and while some people dislike the amount of influence it has, this is just part of the normal process of capitalism. Money will ALWAYS have influence, ad it is not BY DEFAULT nefarious.
Is China a major threat to American (military, economic) power? Absolutely, and I don't think there's a smart person who disagrees. Beyond that, this economics professor was being used by Carlson to craft a ridiculous narrative. Fox itself has said that no one should watch his show and take it as serious news. You shouldn't either.
