Which musical was that? One of my favourite lines from my favourite musical:
"Careful the things you say...children will listen." So true, and puts a spin on the old "You never listen!" They listen all too well.

Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods.Which musical was that?
I appreciate the defense. I get tired of being told I am something I am not, or that I do things I do not do...but that IS a good point about distinguishing between true political conservative values and right wing ideology we see here. Apparently some of theI plead the 5th.
I wont put words into your mouth. Whether they're fascists or fanatics can be debated, but I was indirectly trying to distinguish between real political conservativism, and the brand of right-wing ideology so popular in this forum. We don't have very much of the former here...
edit: I was also defending you a bit; the idea that you go around disagreeing with "conservatives" is stupid nonsense.
Ah! We watched the video on TV, but that was years ago and I don't remember any of the songs.Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods.
No, the "jab" was made for covid-19....Covid was made for the jab.
Foolish, but consistent.I appreciate the defense. I get tired of being told I am something I am not, or that I do things I do not do...but that IS a good point about distinguishing between true political conservative values and right wing ideology we see here. Apparently some of the
righter wingers here think that if I disagree with their ideas about covid and the vaccine, they automatically think I MUST be a left winger. I have even been called a Marxist because I don't like Gateway Pundit. How....foolish is that?
You last line seems to be true. My beliefs over the years on here have been misrepresented on the Mormon, CATH, and Apologetics boards. Why should this board be any different?Foolish, but consistent.
When I first arrived at this forum as a deist, I was repeatedly labeled an atheist simply because I questioned Christian doctrine (as it was being described here). Many people are fond of mischaracterizing those they disagree with...
I think something cultural happened in the US, in the last few decades. People seem less interested in understanding the views of those they disagree with; it's much easier to dismiss them with an insult than listen to and honestly critique what they say.My beliefs over the years on here have been misrepresented on the Mormon, CATH, and Apologetics boards. They are wonderful. A tip: don't watch the movie (with Merryl Streep). Track down the recording of the Broadway production (with Bernadette Peters). Far superior (IMO).Ah! We watched the video on TV, but that was years ago and I don't remember any of the songs.
Could be...it is much easier to disagree and be nasty about it, anonymously, on the Internet, than face to face.I think something cultural happened in the US, in the last few decades. This has been going on since humans were alive, but it seems to have become almost SOP now. Perhaps the ascendance of internet discussion caused it? I dunno...
Well, we have seen it before on video. But Peter's does have a great voice...ever see and hear her in the updated version of Roger's and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA on TV, back in 1997, I think it was? They are wonderful. No, I didn't - I'd have loved to. She's more or less known on Broadway for being the pre-eminent interpreter of Sondheim's work. Her witch in Into The Woods is magnificent.Well, we have seen it before on video. You’re convinced, ok. I can’t change your mind, but what if you’re wrong? Would it bother you if you convinced many people and it was just a conspiracy theory like chem trails or Qanon claims that never happen? It’s a serious question.Covid was made for the jab.
Thanks!Hi, Ray st peter. Welcome to CARM.

These new Trump cultists and conspiracy theorists are not conservative. They are something new. I doubt William F. Buckley would have cared much for these people.I appreciate the defense. Yes, I know lots of moderate Republicans that think all Democrats are AntiFa terrorists/Communists and lots of Democrats that think all Republicans are MAGA, Jan. 6th terrorists/Nazis.I think something cultural happened in the US, in the last few decades. I notice Alex Jones mimics you except he does 20 times more research.Yes, I know lots of moderate Republicans that think all Democrats are AntiFa terrorists/Communists and lots of Democrats that think all Republicans are MAGA, Jan. 6th terrorists/Nazis.
But to be fair, the right-wingers on this forum are much more anti-intellectual and radical than any Republicans or Evangelical Christians I know in real life.
Say, see if you can get the TV Cinderella on Netflix.. I think Peters played the wicked stepmother. It was lots of fun! First time I heard Jason Alexander sing...he was good! No, I didn't - I'd have loved to. She's more or less known on Broadway for being the pre-eminent interpreter of Sondheim's work. Never listened to Buckley, but I knew who he was. These new Trump cultists and conspiracy theorists are not conservative. They are something new. I doubt William F. Buckley would have cared much for these people.
