Aliens are waiting on us

Space aliens have reached an agreement with the US government to stay mum on the experiments they conduct on Earth — as well as their secret base on Mars — until mankind is ready to accept them, the former head of Israel’s space program claimed in a new interview.

So, for the Jesus followers, I'd say we need to finish our job, so we can get raptured. Then the rest of humanity can go bonkers.

Just remember, according to Daniel, "it is for a time yet appointed."

yeah, my cousin posted this yesterday on his twitter feed.
I find it amusing that I provided you a serious discussion from an international head of state, and all you can provide is a comic's comments.
Nothing on this board is a serious discussion. It's about UFOs for goodness sake.

and yet an Israeli Professor with a doctorate in Aeronautical Engineering is talking seriously, even acknowledging how insane people perceived him as in the past, but are more open-minded today.

Eshed, 87, holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from the Technion, a master’s degree in performance research, and a doctorate in aeronautical engineering. In 1965, he served in the technological unit of the IDF Intelligence Division in research and development positions. In 1969, he was sent by the IDF Military Intelligence to study for a doctorate in aeronautical engineering in the United States. When he returned, he was appointed head of the research and development department in the Intelligence Corps. He retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel. Following his military service, he was employed as a professor at the Technion’s Space Research Institute, and in 1981 established and became the first director of the Challenge Program, a unit of the Administration for Research, Development of Weapons and Technological Infrastructure (Mapat) in the Defense Ministry, which is responsible for satellite projects. He retired from the Defense Ministry in October 2011, having commanded the launching of 20 Israeli satellites.

Those don't sound like the credentials of a loony man.

Nevertheless, what he is saying is insane.

Nevertheless, what he is saying is insane.
That depends entirely on whether what he's saying is true or not.
If he's not telling the truth, then yes. What he's saying is insane.
But if he is telling the truth, this is just one more step in humanity's experience.

Well, if you are prepared to believe in God, you can believe anything. Personally, I'm not wasting any neurons thinking about the possibilities of him telling the truth.

Well, the present view is that aliens will reveal themselves once all the Jesus followers have been taken by Jesus. 1 Thess. 4:13-17.
Then the great delusion will be released, and people will buy it hook, line, and sinker.
We read in 2 thess. 2:9-12 we read

9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

This may be your present view, but don't fool yourself. It isn't widely shared.

Neither is truth.
In fact, I find it rather curious that you actually think popularity, and consensus is a necessity for truth to actually be true.

Not at all. The first thing is feasibility, which the majority of people are able to recognise. UFOs are not feasible any more than witches, holes to the centre of the earth, greyhound buses on the moon driven by Elvis or any of the other hilariously bonkers things some people manage to believe.

If that was true, you'd already be a follower of Jesus.
You just listed a whole slow of bad ideas.

Holes to the center of the earth are known as volcanoes. https://www.ready.gov/volcanoes

Witches are known as wicca https://www.google.com/search?q=wicca

You're the only one I ever heard use greyhound buses driven by elvis, yet you clearly think it's real enough to have used it to discount things you're not willing to take the time to learn to understand.
