Asking dead people to help you find your keys or help you sell your house can be likened to many pagan practices. If you would like to call such behavior "witchcraft," I am fine with that.

I don't call praying the saints witchcraft. I call it the Communion of Saints.

You do not know who is in heaven. All dead are living. Scripture is clear do not commune with the dead, you are clearly communing with the dead.
If this was necessary then why did Jesus not teach us to pray to them, why did Jesus and the apostles not pray to them? Please do not do the transfiguration because that is RCs misusing scripture.
