Asked or Told?

She was not asked. Her consent was not requested.

God knew where her heart was, and then He told her what was going to go down.

She was not asked. Consent was not requested.

Catholics feel compelled to post falsehoods about the Word of God so as to subject God to their Mary myth.
They want salvation to hinge on Mary and her answer, rather than on God Himself and His goodness and mercy towards us.

They want salvation to hinge on Mary and her answer

That is correct.

That is why I have heard Catholic apologists constantly claim that God ASKED Mary. For decades....since I was a Catholic.

They all tell the same lie....and they KNOW it is a lie just like one of the RC posters here confessed that he knew God did not ask Mary.

The entire purpose of the lie is to prop up their Mary myths. They know that is why they are compelled to do so, because all rational people can clearly see that God never asked Mary for anything.
