Definition of atheism

: a lack of belief or a strong disbelief in the existence of a god or any gods

You're wrong.
Do you believe that? So you use a dictionary to depict your religious beliefs?

Sort this out:

You believe you have a lack of belief or a strong disbelief.

I notice atheists pivot to a dictionary to bolster and portray their BELIEFS.

Have you heard of weak or strong atheism?

I don't know which is funnier; that you have spent 20 years posting on these forums and you still don't know what atheism is. Or, that you're confused by the idea that a word might have more than one meaning.

Even more hilarious is the fact that without God, atheism is a pointless idea.

I have no religious beliefs to depict.

I lack belief in the existence of any gods - I am an atheist

No, you don't notice that - you imagine it.

It's the belief there is no God.

Then again atheists scramble when the subject comes up.

It's pretty funny to watch.

"It's just a lack of belief.....no it's not it is 'i don't know'....no it's not it's a softie or a hardie."

What it seems to be is atheists saying "there is no God", because they say it all the time.

All the while atheists claim they are not hard atheists.

Will the real atheist please stand up?

According to some dictionaries. Not others.

Who's to say what the "correct" definition is?
I am working on a patent for a magical CARM atheist eightball. It will have no less than eight possible answers to a singular question, what is atheism.

Nowhere near as many as to the singular question "what is Christianity"... how many (mutually exclusive) sects are there, these days? Thousands?

Complete strawman. Atheism is the lack of belief in the existence of gods. Simple. No equivocation.

Someone has apparently never ventured into the Christian portion of this website...

Ya no, that is not the question.

Christ, who do you say he is?

That is the one you'll give account over.

Atheism is the belief that Christians like you aren't such gods that they get to say what everyone else thinks.
