My husband and I often talk about the stupidity of atheists.

Sharing a mutual hatred doesn't seem like the kind of thing bible-believing Christians should do.

My husband and I often talk about the stupidity of atheists. I have pointed out that my cousin is Dan Barker, President of the Freedom from religion foundation.

I sent Dan these questions. What makes the scent from a carnation flower different than the scent of a yellow rose? Who created those scents and with what material was used?

Dan didn't answer.

Who knows why Dan didn't answer, there could be lots of reasons.

The basic difference between the two scents are their chemical composition. For example, the scent of carnations is composed of eugenol and methyl salicylate. That took seconds to find. Instead of you and your husband winding each other up against atheists, you could have found the answer to the most part of your questions with a simple search.

Asking who creating those scents assumes they were created.

Btw, there are examples throughout the animal kingdom of eyes from the very simple and crude, all the way to very sophisticated and accurate. Generally speaking, they represent examples of the steps our eyes took to what they are today.

The answer is quite simple, they are different chemicals., very subtly different, but enough for the difference to be detectable. What is more intriguing is that it is quantum physics that allows us to detect that difference.

Incidentally, just because atheists do not share your beliefs doesn't make them stupid. Anymore than being a Christian makes you stupid. It isn't stupid to believe in Christ. It is stupid to think that anyone who doesn't believe in Christ is themselves stupid. It's quite demonstrably false, by any measure of stupid you care to use.

I see you can't answer the questions either.

I also see that you are missing the point. I don't expect everyone to embrace what I believe and never said so. That is an assumption on your part.

More than just animals. Some protists have eye-spots, and flowers can detect light, opening in the morning and closing at night. Sunflowers can track the sun across the sky.

Light detection is very widespread.

It's not a force. It's the molecular composition of the scent of the rose and the carnation. They are different, therefore they smell differently to those organisms that can detect the chemicals dispersed by each flower. You might as well ask What force of nature makes the daisy and buttercup colours unique? The answer is the wavelengths of light absorbed by the petals. There's no magic here. It's perfectly well understood chemistry and physics.

Perhaps your question is more esoteric, such as what does the smell mean, or even why does the smell have meaning? For that I refer you to GK Chesterton,:
