Authority/Responsibility

This has zero to do with Jesus supposedly giving authority to your specific church.

Why should we listen and believe the CCC, when it often "teaches for doctrine the precepts of men"? Whom is it better to believe? God--or your Magisterium and popes?

Jesus gave responsibility to THE church, not the Roman Catholic church, which has been "teaching for doctrine the precepts of men" for centuries and is no longer a true church, since it has a different gospel, which is NO gospel at all. So, why should anyone listen to the CC, since it often contradicts Scripture, or adds to God's holy word? Should we not believe the Bible over man-made teachings?

We are to be good Bereans and have discernment and search the scriptures, to see if a teaching is true. If it isn't, then we don't believe it and those that promulgate a false doctrine are wolves in sheep's clothing, regardless of how sincere they might be. They are sincerely wrong.

Jesus gave responsibility to THE church

What church?

So it was through the church that we identify what the inspired word of God is.
In short dingling, the issue of divine revelation is crucial because Roman Catholic Tradition and biblical revelation conflict with one another on matters of vital importance, such as the means of salvation. In the end, this may have great personal consequences, including the uncertainty about or even the unintended rejection of the true means of salvation.

No one can deny that devout Roman Catholics, and Protestants alike, sincerely wish to do God's will' they desire to know what is pleasing to God so they may live their lives accordingly. This is why the issue of biblical authority is so crucial.

As Catholics we believe that Jesus gave authority to the Pope/Magisterium.

Believing it to be so, won't make it true will it?

For this reason we listen to what the church teaches concerning the Christian faith. The primary teachings of the Catholic church can be found in Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC). These two sources can be trusted for knowing what we are to believe as Christians. The authority rests upon the shoulders of Jesus and so we should trust the ones that Jesus gave authority to:

Isaiah 9:6-7:
For a child has been born for us,
a son given to us;
authority rests upon his shoulders;
and he is named
Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
His authority shall grow continually,
and there shall be endless peace
for the throne of David and his kingdom.
He will establish and uphold it
with justice and with righteousness
from this time onwards and for evermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Jesus is responsible and he has entrusted this responsibility to the Catholic church. Therefore we can trust the scriptures and the CCC.

So given this why would anyone listen to any other sources that contradict scripture and/or the CCC? Will these other sources be held responsible?

No, it does not. The core of the NT canon was already determined by around 200 AD--long before the RCC as it is now even existed. It took hundreds of years to become the bloated, heterodoxicsl institution it is now.
If there were authoritative documents detailing the history of the Church turning orthodox to heterdox, there'd be something credible to argue. But as it is there are just random moderns engaging in anachronism claiming that. It's just not a credible story.

And what would make the documents "authoritative"?
