You are running from the question

So you don't appreciate being enlightened when it does not suit you. Got it.

the verse was saying for them there is but one God and one Lord

Yeppers.

God being the Father

Christ being the lord

So was Christ their only Lord ?

Paul didn't say Christ is the only Lord.

He said we have two things: one of these plus one of those, ONE God plus ONE Lord.

Just like ancient Israel had one God, Yahweh, and one Lord King David.

Same thing.

Answer the question and don't divert

Nothing to divert.

Or did you really mean you wanted to wedge me into providing an answer which suits your creedal lord?

Thomas's Lord and God- Jesus.

Thomas's Lord and God- Jesus.

That's not what Jesus said.

Why do you persistently refuse to believe Jesus?

Thomas was a Jew and Jesus let Thomas call Him his God and he worshipped Jesus as His Lord and God.

No, Thomas confessed exactly what Jesus taught him was the truth:

Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going, how do we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me.... He who has seen me has seen the Father. John 14:5-9

Who did Thomas see at John 20:28? What did Jesus say?

But you don't believe Jesus do you?

So did the other Apostles.

No, Thomas confessed exactly what Jesus taught him was true:

5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going, how do we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me.... He who has seen me has seen the Father.

Sorry you are running all over the place here a little there a little but you cannot stay focused on the task at hand.

Try reading the CONTEXT

Thomas confessed to Jesus that He(JESUS) was his Lord and his God.

Now be a good little student and follow along with the story below. Do you see it, can you read it, can you understand this simple story ?

Now take the mud off of your unitarian reading glasses and then remove the salve from your eyes and maybe the blindness will be removed this time and you will be able to see, read and believe like Thomas that Jesus is Lord and God.

John 20:24-29
24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus, one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”

But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

28 Thomas said to him,My Lord and my God!”

29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

I see, your whole M.O. is to be as obtuse as humanly possible. Got it.

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have SEEN the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I SEE in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe." 26 After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and SEE my hands; and reach here your hand and put it into my side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have SEEN me, have you believed. Blessed are they who did not SEE, and yet believed.”

Jesus to Thomas: "He who has SEEN Me has SEEN the Father."

Thomas saw WHO?

Jesus to Thomas: "He who has SEEN Me has SEEN the Father."

Jesus was pretty clear wasn't he?

Oh you mean like SEEN, SAW below where Isaiah SAW the LORD- JESUS in Isaiah 6- HIS GLORY- YHWH. There is only One LOrd and the NT identifies that One Lord as Jesus. OOPS once again for you ROFL

John 12:41
These things Isaiah said, because he saw His glory, and he spoke of Him(JESUS)

Isa 6:1-5
In the year of King, Uzziah's death, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. 2 Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one called out to another and said,

"Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts,,

The whole earth is full of His glory."

4 And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke. 5 Then I said,

5"Woe is me, for I am ruined!,

Because I am a man of unclean lips,

And I live among a people of unclean lips;,

For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts."

John tells you that Isaiah 6:8-10 isn't referring to Jesus but to the unbelieving Jews. You seem to have missed that nor do you seem to have any inkling of the implications.

Isaiah was a prophet.

What do prophets do?

What do prophets see?

Did Isaiah see the future Messiah?

What did Isaiah the prophet see at Isaiah 53?

WHO did Isaiah the prophet see at Isaiah 53?

Yes John is saying that Isaiah saw the Lord in His Pre Incarnate Glory as YHWH. That is another great passage declaring the Sons deity . Thank you .
Indeed but as we can see in these threads some posters hate his deity( the unis) and others His humanity ( gnostics).

Yeah Isaiah saw Jesus of Nazareth. That's why John quotes Isaiah 53 in this passage.

At Isaiah 6:8-10, Isaiah saw the unbelieving Jews of John 12

John told you this but you weren't listening again.

Try learning how to think for yourself instead of parroting something you read in a book.
I have seen all the flavors of unis for the past 20 years on CARM so I'm very well versed in what you heretics believe. In fact I can debate trins better than you can rofl.

Isaiah 6 is the one and only time Isaiah saw the Lord and John tells us Isaiah saw the Son and identifies Him as YHWH.

So you agree that they can hear...what is the problem? The scripture teaches they have no understanding like you.
I find it funny how you can claim I have no understanding when you were the one thinking other people thought the passage was saying people were physically death and could therefore not hear the words because of disability.

But carry on with your childish semantics. It becomes clearer as to who has no understanding as you go along.
