Just as a man is passive in his physical birth so to is that same man when it comes to his spiritual birth. See below for the Truth in the birth process its all Gods doing, not mans.

except a dead person has no stimulus with his body the same as one spiritually dead in their sins has no stimulus to life is the spirit. Both conditions of death are dead to stimuli.

Hence the necessity of a resurrection of the dead - life given by God in both cases. Both the physical and spiritual dead need new life and that life can only come from God.

Just as Lazarus could not come out of that grave until Jesus supernaturally gave him life and called him out of that grave neither can those dead in sin respond until they are given life (regeneration) to respond to Gods call.

Its really not that complicated. Dead is dead. Resurrection is resurrection, Regeneration is regeneration, born of the Spirit is born of the spirit.

Its all Gods control over life and death.

If people meaning anyone from any religious persuasion would just look at this from a logical perspective without their premise it would be OBVIOUS that the natural birth is completely out of control of the baby being born.

The spiritual birth is no different hence Scripture makes those comparisons for a good reason.

You say they are not the same or cannot be compared but that is not true.

Dead is dead and death is death. It applies to both physical death and spiritual death. Both concepts, ideas, facts are found in Scripture.

The differences between us Tom is I do not have to change the meaning of death whereas you change the meaning of death to fit your theology when it comes to spiritual life and death.

The meaning in my theology which I believe is mote sound or biblical that your ideas is that in mine death/dead has the exact same meaning as in the physical world-
