"But the hour is coming...when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth...". What about the son and the Holy Spirit?

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him (John 4:23)

So won't "true worshipers" be worshiping the son and the Holy Spirit?

If God were a trinity and Jesus wanted you to worship a triune God, wouldn't Jesus have said "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father, son and Holy Spirit in spirit and truth..."?

Can't worship The Father WITHOUT worshipping The Son.

Can't worship The Father WITHOUT worshipping The Son.

That's not in the Bible.

But the Bible does have Jesus telling us that true worshipers will be worshipping the Father. No mention is made of worshipping the son or the Holy Spirit.

BONUS: He also said this:

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. – Matthew 6:6

That's why the Lord's prayer taught directly by Jesus is addressed to the Father. Not the son or the Holy Spirit.

NO ONE can approach The Father without The Son.
Jesus said so.

TO The Father, THROUGH The Son, BY The Holy Spirit.

A couple of comments for you skippy. Thomas gave one the highest forms of worship to Jesus Christ when he said literally at John 20:28, "The Lord of me and the God of me."

Also, Jesus said at John 5:22-23, "For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, vs23, in order that all may HONOR the Son, even as they HONOR the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him." So, tell us all here how you honor the Son?

One more at Hebrews 1:6, "And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, "And let all the angels of God worship Him." The Greek word for worship is "proskuneo," and it means actual worship and not just paying "obeisance or respect" to a person.

IN GOD THE SON,

Do you have an advanced degree in koine Greek? If not you are not qualified to decide what speakers in the Bible or writers of the Bible should or should not have said in certain situations. ελπίζω αυτό να βοηθήσει?

John 9:38
He said, “Lord, I believe”; and he worshiped him.

The same Greek word for "worship" used in John 4:23 is properly used in reference to the Lord Jesus in John 9:38.

Since this is true, why aren't you worshiping Jesus?
