Can a "Born Again" Roman Catholic remain in the RCC and continue to follow the erroneous teachings of the RCC?

Do you know the answer I have received from Catholics for decades now?

"I was only following orders"
Yeah, that excuse really helped the Nazis at Nuremberg! (And those were men judging them – not the Almighty Judge.) The only people the RCs are fooling are themselves. ?
No joke. They think any and all of the evils they participate in and promote are all justified because they were doing what they were told by their Masters.
So – I've heard – did the Japanese soldiers in WWII. They were honorable for following orders. The dishonor was upon the leaders who gave the orders. ?
The sad thing is that they know deep inside this is no justification at all, but only adds to the sin....but they do it anyway.
Very sad, indeed.

Atemi, that link doesn't work. It says "Page not found."

Here is that same link at the Wayback Machine:

Did all of these things you quoted come from this ewtnnews link?

No. The other quotes come from the likes of Montfort and JPII.

Jesus is quoting Ps. 82. Did you not know that? Perhaps you should take a look at it and see what would happen to those "gods."

So, do you think that Jesus REALLY thinks men can be gods??? Is that what you are proposing?
Hey! "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" (Mormons) certainly thinks so! They even (ab)use the same verse! Amazing, the similarities between LDS and RCC, which both deny, each calling the other heretical. Hysterical. ?

Ex 32: 1
And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

They worshiped gods.

The word there is "elohim"....the same used for the Almighty.

And then in verse 4, Aaron said he made "elohim"...the same used for the Almighty.

And then in verse 5, Aaron says the idol is "YHWH"....the same used for the Almighty.

And then in verse 6, the people proceed to worship this idol called "YHWH."

Not many idols. Just one idol.

Amazing, the similarities between LDS and RCC, which both deny, each calling the other heretical. Hysterical.

All the cult apologists I talk to argue exactly like Roman Catholic apologists. They use the same tactics, they play the victim, and they abuse the same verses. It is like they all operate from the same playbook.

From my experience as Catholic, we recognise the actual real manifestation of charity by the LDS, SDA, Salvation Army. It is mission in action for all to see. A lot of nonCC's talk a big talk but where is the evidence of Christianity at work among them?

Exo 32:4-8 [DRC] And when he [Aaron] had received them, he fashioned them by founders' work, and made of them a molten calf. And they said: These are thy gods, O Israel, that have brought thee out of the land of Egypt. And when Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it, and made proclamation by a crier's voice, saying: To morrow is the solemnity of the Lord.* And rising in the morning, they offered holocausts, and peace victims, and the people sat down to eat, and drink, and they rose up to play.

And the Lord* spoke to Moses, saying: Go, get thee down: thy people, which thou hast brought out of the land of Egypt, hath sinned. They have quickly strayed from the way which thou didst shew them: and they have made to themselves a molten calf, and have adored it, and sacrificing victims to it, have said: These are thy gods, O Israel, that have brought thee out of the land of Egypt.

Note that Aaron called the calf YHVH, whether or not the others had eye problems. Aaron had made one (1) golden calf, but the people said it was "gods".
Mary IS NOT GOD. She is the Mother of God and deserves to be honored as such.
By proclaiming that she has God's incommunicable attributes? If she has them – no matter how the RCC tries to two-step around it – then you are proclaiming that she is a god. Period.
Then again, your high priests (popes) have taken God's titles as well as His place, so what difference does it make if they make a golden idol of their "Mary"?

Because nobody needs to know.

Matthew 6:1 “Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

2 “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you."

The people demanded Aaron make gods for them to worship. Ex 32:1
The golden calf is an Egyptian god. Aaron would have known that, as would the people. God was not fooled by the name change.

And where is this doctrine in Scripture? Book, chapter and verse please.

Peter walked on water. That's a god-like attribute, since God Himself walked on water. Does that make Peter a god?
Is it just possible that Jesus is able to share His Attributes with anyone, if He so desires?

Nonsense garbage argument.

The miraculous occurring by the power of the Holy Spirit, whether walking on water or raising the dead, does not make Peter omnipotent, omniscient, or omnipresent.

Even children know this, so why argue that you don't?

I don't believe that you do.
Well, you would be wrong...not for the first time, either. Now, please stop stalling and kindly tell us what YOU think Jesus means, here. You brought it up first, so it is up to you to tell us what you think it means.

So?
Were they true gods...or idols?

We love, honor, and respect her as the wonderful mother of our Lord in His Incarnation, but beyond that, we will NOT go. It is the RCC that dishonors the gentle lady of Nazareth by making a gross caricature out of her, and ascribing powers, glories, and some titles to her that rightfully belong ONLY to her Son!

Of course He was not. Just as God is not fooled when Catholics declare that all of their hyper-dulia-ing of Mary; effigies made of her and paraded about the streets to weep over; and prayers to her for help, comfort, and even salvation are not worshiping her...

God is not mocked!

Right. So He is not fooled when Roman Catholics say, "We don't worship 'Mary'!" and "'Mary is not a [hemi-, semi-, demi-] goddess!" Not fooled at all, unlike the worshipers of the RCC.

"Esse quam videri"

1.Definition:
God’s incommunicable attributes are those characteristics that cannot be shared with His creatures. God’s incommunicable attributes are things that only God can have and that make Him distinct from creation. For example, God is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, sovereign, transcendent, immutable, and self-existent. The incommunicable attributes of God are what make God, God. They are His distinguishing features that only He possesses.

And where is this doctrine in Scripture? Book, chapter and verse please.
Which doctrine? Mary's omniscience? Her omnipresence? Her omnipotence? Nowhere at all.
Peter walked on water. That's a god-like attribute, since God Himself walked on water. Does that make Peter a god?
Important points:
• Peter did not walk on water until JESUS SAID "COME." When he took his eyes off of Jesus, he began to sink. (Notice also that Peter did not call upon Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob!)
• You are assuming that Jesus gave Peter some "mojo" so that he could walk on water. He who held back the Red Sea so the Israelites could cross with dry feet could certainly cause Peter to walk on water without transferring anything to Peter.
Is it just possible that Jesus is able to share His Attributes with anyone, if He so desires?
NOT the Incommunicable Attributes. That's why they are called Incommunicable – they cannot be communicated to mere creatures. (See the definition above).

Of course, we all know Bonnie nowhere said that. When you have to purposely misrepresent what she said in order to make some kind of point, you already ceded the field.
I guess she never could find a verse that said 'Fred, Sam, James, Paul or 'what's his name' is son of Joseph and Mary'. Go figure

There are no such doctrines. Cite the catechism or other official document of the Church to prove your claim. It's the Protestants continual and intentional misreading of Ligouri despite be corrected by Catholics that are the basis for these false claims.

No, but we find verses that clearly say that Jesus has brothers--which are named in both Matthew and Mark--as well as sisters.

Again, why is it so all-fired necessary in Catholicism for Mary to be ever-virgin? BEFORE Jesus was born--absolutely! But after? What would be the purpose, since marriage and sexual relations in a marriage are sanctioned and blessed by God, as well as having children in marriage? Isn't marriage a sacrament in Catholicism?
