Can a High Priest serve with blemishes?

when You are the Lawgiver
what's it matter?
Well, if the point was to come into the flesh to fulfill the law in its entirety, then it would matter.

But, if you can arbitrarily keep the law, then you can't fault anyone else for not keeping it. There's no reason to die then to save humanity.

if lack the ability to fully obey, it's Death Exodus 24:3
Then Jesus deserves to die based on his shortcomings. He drank wine at the cross after making a vow he wouldn't at the last supper. He was also defiled at the Praetorium and didn't purify according to Numbers 19. Sorry.

why did the Sanhedrin choose to reject "the Way, the Truth, and the Life"? John 14:6
Well, the way, the truth, and the life, all refer to the law.

I would agree that throughout history, Jews haven't always been observant as they should have been.

Why did you avoid post #24?

There is no other High Priesthood but the Levitical.

Does the Melchizedekian priesthood allow open wounds? Please provide the source.

I don't recall Melkizedek having battle wounds.

The requirements for the priesthood after the order of Melkizedek per Psalm 110:4 are:

1) God declares you to be one by sworn oath
2) The priest has an indestructible life.

Open wounds, family lineage, and other deformities aren't listed as disqualifiers. I suspect whatever disqualifiers one may imagine are trumped by number 1.

Was the original Melchizedek declared one?

When did God say this to Jesus?

Well Jesus fails here since he died and still has wounds.

Looks like a fail on both prints.

Unknown. Both of us only have the words in Psalm 110 and Genesis 14 to describe them. Genesis 14 describes the actual priest, and Psalm 110 describes the priest after that order. And the prediction of Psalm 110:4 only fits one person to date.

When did God say this to Jesus?

We don't have a record of that private conversation. We know the conversation for Psalm 110 took place because Jesus was resurrected from the dead and is seen standing at God's right hand, and then later seated at God's right hand (fulfilling Psalm 110:1).

In his mortal life, you are correct and you are correct for all humans. The only way a human could fulfill this would no longer be mortal. The mechanism by which this was achieved was the resurrection to eternal life.

Not quite. This is a Psalm of David. David and his sons are called priests, cohens, in 2 Samuel 8:18.

We don't know where Jesus is standing, nor that he was resurrected. We do know he died, and his family ossuaries were found in Talpiot.

Having the same body shows he's destructible. Sorry.

Not quite, "chief ministers" under the King
The Hebrew says cohen, priest, for David's sons. Look it up.

Judah "priests" would be against the Law
Why? The whole nation was called a kingdom of priests before.

this was Adam
He would designate the next one (Cainan - book of Jasher ch.2)
Ok, I don't use that as a source.

the Father, the Baptist, and the Holy Spirit
at His baptism
