If this were true, we wouldn't pray directly to God.

Weird that you would deny your own Scriptures.

We're talking two separate ideas. The context in Ezekiel 22 is saving destruction in the land. Praying doesn't require an intermediary. Even Jesus said to pray directly to the Father.
