Well, well; TomL's back! His gospel or good news is not good news for most of mankind
The Gospel is always Epistemologically Good News brother...His gospel or good news is not good news for most of mankind
Not if ones gospel has men unconditionally reprobated before the foundation of the worldThe Gospel is always Epistemologically Good News brother...
Through technical difficulties, cataract surgery both eyes, covid which led to pneumoniaWell, well; TomL's back!
Thank youWelcome back.
No, Epistemologically the Good News is always Good News. To say otherwise, is like saying God is not always Good; it just doesn't follow...Not if ones gospel has men unconditionally reprobated before the foundation of the world
Calvinists preach the Gospel brother; the one and only Good News...And that's why Calvinism is false.
Nobody has to say "Jesus might have died for you!"
The Gospel is always Good News brother...No, they don't, and it's not good news for all men.
Calvinists preach deception, unless they preach like an Arminian.
There's only one Gospel of Jesus Christ, and it's always Ontologically Good News brother...So Paul was wrong when he said some Gospels were "another gospel"?
Paul didn't you hear about the hydrogen atom???!

John 3:14–16
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 4:42
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
John 6:33
For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
John 12:32
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Romans 5:18
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
1 Corinthians 15:3–11
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. 9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
2 Corinthians 5:14–15
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5:18–21
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1 Timothy 2:4–6
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1 Timothy 4:10
For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
John 11:51
And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

John 12:47–48
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

The Gospel isn't good news to all men. Such a notion is the invention of man and isn't supported in scripture. No, they don't, and it's not good news for all men.
Calvinists preach deception, unless they preach like an Arminian.
The Gospel, as I shared and proved with Scripture, isn't good news to all men and you cannot refute the text so you pit Scripture against Scripture. That the gospel isn't good news to all men isn't only proven by the text I've given, one could also look at how men reject it, hate it, ridicule it, call it foolish 1 &c; Corinthians 2:14, 1 Corinthians 1:18.Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. (Luk 2:10 NKJ)
Yea.
Looks like I just made that up, good call there.
Not only are you projecting, but you've failed to interpret the texts I've given correctly. Then you go ad hominem. So you think "an aroma of death" to those who reject the Gospel is a more convincing Scripture than literally saying "good news to all people."
And then you accuse ME of twisting the Scripture. That's rich.
Someone who is willing to twist a less clear verse into their "proof text" and then twist a more clear text and blame the other person for twisting, is not interested in honest dialogue.
Oh, look.
The "house" wins again.
Your link is insufficient and is no more than a denial that all ever equals all, every man is every man and world includes all that are in the world in any atonement textSince Tom is simply "dumping" this same list of "proof-texts" everywhere, allow me to provide a link to where I already addressed them all in another thread.
