We are serious Christians who the Lord has led to start up an end-times

safe-haven community of believers in central British Columbia.

And we are looking for like-minded people to join us.

Could you please explain to us how the Lord led all of you to select central British Columbia? Why not central Quebec?

Will the community be predominately a SDA congregation, a Jehovah Witness congregation, or a salad of hundreds of denominations?

Synergy ...
The Lord has led my wife and I to be involved in the starting up
of a safe haven in central BC ... and you are asking, "Why BC?"
Why don't you ask Him ... and tell us because we don't know!
And who knows who He will be sending to our (i.e. His) safe haven.
BTW, we currently are living in Alberta.
I came from Toronto, spent 38 years in San Diego, then 5 years in BC.
My wife spent years in BC, followed by 3 1/2 years in Saskatchewan.
We generally charge $100 for our life histories, and if you are interested,
will you be paying by cash, check, or bank draft?

Snarky, aren't we? Sorry, having to content with that type of attitude is not how I would define a "safe haven".

Just a few days ago ...
the Lord said to us that He is deeply grieved because
many who think they will be going to heaven will NOT be going.
(I suppose you consider this "snarky" too.)

Please note:

What do you make of the fact that Jesus exhorts us to be in the world but not of the world in John 17:15-16?

15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.
16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

Rev is starting; for those remaining here after the sign in the sky there will be tribulation. There will be nowhere to hide.

The current sun is a corruption and will go dark. Nothing will grow.

The locusts arrive - being the satan realm spirits of the other world, billions of them.

The abomination that is the 'tree of knowledge of good and evil' that contains this earth at its western border will be visible to all.

The 144k sons will see these things and go Home, and have their Change.

If you are going then no need of a safe place in BC.

Only those NOT going would need a safe place.

....but there won’t be anywhere safe on this earth.

IMO, this has nothing to do with the end-times.

Methinks, you are a died-in-the-wool pre-tribber.
Jesus said believers will be going through the most terrible time in history.
He was referring to the great tribulation period of the antichrist.
BTW, the Lord can protect whomever He desires to protect any time He wishes.
For example ...
Haven't you heard that He sometimes makes people invisible ... to protect them.

Interesting .....

So, Jesus said to leave the work of the gospel, stop preaching the gospel, and create a monastic community to hide from the people who are in the greatest need of the truth of the gospel?

Ok.....

I'll byte.

Please explain to me how that works.

Doesn't that create an inbred character, and cut you off from giving those who are perishing the hope that Jesus came to give those who are perishing?

Sorry, I haven't yet explained that the Lord says we will be going in and out to fulfill His purposes.
He has me writing a tract to help believers overcome sin in their lives,
which He says He will use in many ways that I'm not aware of yet.
Last year, I prepared a really great gospel tract to share with non-believers,
plus I have one on Jesus, and one on Satan, and one on my spiritual testimony.
He has told us to buy a typewriter and printing press to share things with other safe-haven communities.
How He will connect us with them I have no idea, etc.

Overcoming sin.....

That's always a great idea.

You know that this is only possible through becoming partakers of God's divine nature and his exceedingly great and precious promises, and thinking on spiritual things, right?

Rom 8:4-9 WEB 4 that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace; 7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile toward God; for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be. 8 Those who are in the flesh can’t please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.

And

2Pe 1:2-4 WEB 2 Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue, 4 by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.
God has provided everything we need to overcome.

We further read in Titus 2:11-14 that Grace is our teacher and teaches us what we need to know God and live in the manner that honors him.

Tit 2:11-15 WEB 11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12<<<<<< instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age;>>>>> 13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works. 15 Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one despise you.

No need to hide out in the wilderness.

There's plenty of people in this world who are in dire need of salvation from their sin and a hope that will endure the madness of this world.

I personally do not want to encounter those nasty scorpion like things that are going to come out and sting everyone everywhere night and day. I would like to start thinking about how to protect a community from those critters.

Should we wait on the Lord to find out which third of the world will have drinkable water, and make sure there are communities there, and in the third with green grass for feed, etc, so that we will have enough to drink and eat? Will there be shopping centers that wont require the mark of the beast if you want to purchase something?

Let no one despise you.

To further develop this.....
The Grace of God brought salvation to all..... not just some.... but the totality of the human race.
The Grace of God instructs us.
Grace instructs us in the denying of worldly desires, and ungodliness.
The Grace of God instructs us in living soberly, righteously, and godly, in THIS present age.
The Grace of God instructs us to look for the Blessed Hope, and appearing of our Great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Grace of God instructs us that Jesus gave himself for us.
the Grace of God instructs us that he might redeem us from ALL iniquity.
the Grace of god instructs us that he is purifying us for himself, a people for his own possession.
the Grace of God instructs us to be zealous of good works.

This ties back to Isaiah 54:13.

God teaches us.
Jesus said in John 16:12-15, that the Holy Spirit will instruct, and guide us into all truth, and give us what Jesus gave to Him.

In the course of my life, learning to follow Jesus, I am, and have been finding that God's Grace instructs me in what ungodliness is, and what worldly lusts are, so I can know what I need to deny. He then teaches me how to deny them, so I can learn to focus on living soberly, righteously, and godly in MY present age.
God's Grace teaches, and instructs me on what living soberly is. Grace teaches me what living righteously is. And Grace teaches me what living godly is.
Grace not only teaches me what these things are, Grace also teaches me how to apply them in my life, so I can actually do so.

I say this, because I've learned over the years, when I struggled to do it based on my own ideas of what these things were, I failed miserably, and needed to have a more accurate picture, and then I found that I'd needed the wisdom on handling it properly, instead of the ways I thought it was supposed to be.

Your goal of seeking to live a godly life is indeed what we were called to.....
But hiding out. Reducing the influences on us..... that's not what we who follow Jesus are called to.
We're called to put our lights on top of the basket, not cover them under the basket.
We're called to be salt and light IN the world.

Lights shine most brightly in dark rooms.

fwiw, I am a cancer survivor. in 2000, I had a relatively new type of scan done to identify a tumor. My reaction to the results of that scan are still profound to me today. I described it then as a "christmas tree, in the middle of a dark desert, lit for all to see. Something that could be seen from miles away."
So profound was it that all the previous scans which left questions about whether I actually had a tumor became the brunt of jokes.

We're to be THAT kind of light.

Don't hide.
Come back to civilization, and be the light that Jesus places in his people.

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Fruitful Growth in the Faith
5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Peter’s Approaching Death
12 For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. 13 Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you,

This has been a boon for me in my walk. Not that other passages haven't. But this one in particular has reminded me of a number of things.

Verse 3--- His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the know of him who has called us by his glory and virtue.
I suppose I should say up front, I am a retired craftsman. I was union trained, and plied a profession for numerous years prior to my cancer stopping me in my tracks. And as a professional craftsman, I am also a tool junky. I love tools. It's a good thing I don't have a large back account, because I still see tools I'd love to have, for the myriads of ideas I have for projects. And thankfully, I have a wife who has a mind to make sure I don't go hogwild on my "toy" list. Yes.... to me tools are toys. And I love playing in the toy crib...... :ROFLMAO: :sneaky:
This unstoppable force, against an immovable object did not however go unresolved..... Turns out I was just re-routed.
I learned after year of college, during, and following my recovery, that God does things in a manner that will achieve his purposes in our lives.
God giving us all things that pertain to life and godliness..... I am reminded of the idea of having a well-stocked, fully provided tool box.
Think in terms of a tool box that makes the really nice Snap-on, or Matco, or Craftsman boxes look like kid's playboxes.
The resources at our disposal for the Jesus follower is astonishing.
Every single possible tool we could ever need--- Jesus has provided it to us.
And for those tools, there are always a tool here or there that I'll look at and think--- now what on earth is that for? And of course, there's always somebody, somewhere, who has experience using that one-off tool that I'd never seen before, but thought would be cool to have.
I've learned something about those tools--- in finding someone to show me how to use it, I realized that Jesus told us---

25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

As well as

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.

I.e., The Holy Spirit is our teacher. He's here, to guide, instruct, lead, direct, and develop our understanding, so we can know when, where, how, and why to apply the tools that we're given, from Peter's statement----

His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the know of him who has called us by his glory and virtue.

So...... don't think that hiding in the wilderness--- regardless of how beautiful it may well be--- is going to give you an edge that you won't have here in civilization.

What does Solomon tell us about iron sharpening iron? Going out to the wilderness will not give you opportunities to share the gospel, or increase in godliness.

Grace and Peace is increased to us through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.
This is only possible through readying, prayer, fellowship, and telling others about Jesus.

We are specifically looking for Christians to join us in our "safe-haven to be" in BC.
I.E. We are specifically looking for Christians who God will connect us with.

What believers read in these posts might lead them to do likewise, if God leads.
E.G. We encourage you to form a safe-haven there in S.A.

The Lord has told us plenty about our (His) safe-haven.
He will provide someone to help us decide which property to purchase.
Our unity is of #1 paramount importance.
It will include a "motley crew" like David had, for various purposes, such as protecting all of us.
It will have a swimming pool and hot-tub for everyone to enjoy.
We will need 3 generators (min.), typewriter, printing press, horses, old farm equipment, etc.
W/O the mark of the beast, we plan on buying some things with gold and silver coins.

News Flash:
The Lord loves His people who are righteous, obedient, etc.
and receives great pleasure from such true believers,
and He especially enjoys fellow-shipping with such people!
For this is why He created the human race (He says).

Please note:
We only believe what is in His word, and what the Lord tells us personally!
We do not trust in any man, church, etc. We only trust in Him and in His word.

Heads Up
I have posted the OP on several Christian forums,
and not even one person has said:
they have prayed to the Lord about this, and have been told
to go to a safe-haven ... or not to go to one!
So, it might be safe to say that most responses to the OP
have been in the flesh (i.e. not in the Spirit).
