Clarifying the Son of Man, the Son of God and the Father
The son of man is God manifest in the flesh and God's oneness included the Father and the son of God, Yet the son of man called Jesus shares the title and is even called the mighty God and everlasting Father. God is three roles within himself two roles of which is internal in God and external as a human being. The son of man is the first born of creation and is a spiritual being or life-giving Spirit. Now, though the son was human he rose out of death as a spiritual being and shares in the role of God as the Father though he was the Son of God in the flesh with the Father.I can understand that many may not see it that way, but I must follow what the scripture state:
Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Thus, we must conclude that God has interchangeable roles within himself as the Father and the Son and God is both and yet the Son shares in the role of the Father. God is both Father and brother to us yet and what the Father is so is the Son. We can see God in both roles with their distinctions, yet we are seeing the Father.
When we consider what Jesus said to Philip "if you have seen me, you have seen the Father" literally for what it says.
Also, when Thomas said "my Lord and my God" you have to take that literally and we know that God is the Father.
Now, I have said the son of man is not God and the Son of God is not the Father, but you have to see in what context we can see that and in what context that is not so.
I have said the Father is the Father, and the Son is the Son, and the son of man is man and in proper context that is so but, in another context, God is all three as the Father.
This is new understanding for me, but I must harmonize the scripture according to its context.
God bless you.
