Conversion, the result of regeneration.

Wow pg, you quote these scripture which build the case for regeneration being first and you don't see it?

The world by wisdom knew not God. but yet, God by the foolishness of preaching the gospel, pleased God to save some? Are you suggesting that some people are smarter and more wise that others therefore able to save themselves?

Then you throw in Titus 3:5?
Pardon me for saying but you look very confused.

Your not getting it? Would it help if i broke it down for you? would you even listen?
Actually it is you who are confused here

The wisdom is earthly wisdom by which the world knew not god

The preaching of the scriptures (which is the wisdom of God) on the other hand is sufficient

BTW Titus 3:5 show regeneration is the mechanism of salvation

one must believe to be saved

not saved to believe

your just digging yourself deeper.

Regeneration is the work of God the Holy Spirit as He supernaturally and immediately changes the disposition of the soul from spiritual death to spiritual life.
Conversion is a result of regeneration. When we are converted, we’re turned around and we move in a different direction.
Sproul.

Conversion according to scripture involves a change of mind, a change in the evaluation of things. After conversion a man fosters different views concerning God and Christ and sin and salvation than he did before his conversion.

1 Corinthians 2:
12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.

14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.

Regeneration is first in the order of salvation.
Not even close belief comes first or you stay spiritually dead.

Jhn 20:31 - But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Actually being made alive comes first, taking place while being spiritually dead; Ephesians 2:5.

Those made alive by the Spirit believe the above text. Only believers believe, it doesn't cause eternal life.

That's called utilizing 2 Timothy 2:15. Ephesians 2:15 clearly and concisely shows the making alive happens while dead in trespasses.

Well imo so far your teaching humanism.
You're using the wrong term that conveys your ignorance of how the term is used in everyday secular circles.
I would accept something like ImagesOfChristism ("Images of Christ-ism") that communicates that we all possess God-given human dignity and value as those predestined to be conformed to the Image of Christ.

Regeneration is first in the order of salvation.

This doesn't mean we couldn't hear the Spirit ie prevenient grace enough to libertarianly/synergistically come and hear out the gospel while yet unsaved, and develop a faith of sorts.

Then prevenient grace regenerates us and gives us have assured faith.

and you just assume the spiritualyl dead cannot believe contrary to scripture

John 20:31 (KJV 1900) — 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

this verse clearly put faith before life

as does

John 5:40 (KJV 1900) — 40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

one comes to Christ (by believing in him) to have life

John 5:24–25 (KJV 1900) — 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. 25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

one hears to live

Acts 11:18 (KJV 1900) — 18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

one repents to live

Strawman

God can overcome anything if he so decides to.

The question is does he so decide ?
Exactly. Thank you.

So if He has apparently decided to ATTEMPT to save all mankind, including those who die in unbelief before the cross, why dies He not simply do so. See how dumb that is? Never-ending. LOL
