I think Colin Powell died right after he was boosted, so it had not had time yet to kick in fully. He was also very old. Lest you forget, he had a really vicious blood cancer--multiple myeloma. That disease killed a good friend of mine, from the Mormon board. She had one last ditch treatment for it, nearly 2 years ago. She survived, came back on the Mormon board once, and then I never heard from her again, no matter how many times I emailed her. I even sent her family a letter by snail mail, asking about her, but no one ever wrote back. She said if she no longer got on the boards, it meant that she had died. And she was 15 years younger than Powell.
