Israel had choice meats. Corn beef reubens, pastrami reubens, or either meat on rye. Plus the bagels. Then there's the rye bread all on its own. They were therefore elected conditionally just like anti-Calvinists. See, it's all biblical!
Those in the southern parts had grits. Don’t forget the grits!

They had bagels back then? Was that the manna from heaven?

He used the word "Unconditional". Is that not what he said? I simply stated the truth. That even though he is saying it is unconditional, he is attributing the condition that brings it about to God.

If he is wrong, then he is blaming his own conditions on God.

Good news to you only?
Unconditional regarding us, but certainly conditioned on God...

Conditioned on God's Unmerited Favor...

You're placing the condition upon God and crediting God with your own perspective.

Does not God do as He pleases? Yet, here you are confining His choices to your reasoning.
Why do you say that, when you agree that God's Grace is God's Unmerited Favor for me?

God chose His Son. Not you. Not me. His son. It is a false Gospel to lay another other foundation. Your doctrine replaces this Truth revealed to us by God with yourself and those you believe to be like you.

No. I'm the one that truly believes it means unmerited. You do not. You create the scenario in your theology wherein YOU are preferred over those like you.

I say and the Gospel says that Jesus Christ was God's Chosen. God choose HIMSELF. Self satisfying and Eternal. God's GRACE is truly unmerited in such.

Your application of "grace" prefers YOU.
are you ok with saying God extends His grace to us via the Son ?

You're correct, God does prefer me before I've done anything Good to deserve Election and before I've done anything Bad to not deserve Election; and believing the Gospel is something Good I did...

Yes, please give me a soapbox to Glorify God for Choosing me; because I wouldn't have chosen him...

You're robbing the honor due Jesus Christ.

If you were not so caught up in the arguments between two carnal systems you'd recognize it brother.
No, I can't rob honor from Jesus because his Grace is Unmerited Favor of me, and is sufficient for me...

His selection of me is entirely his own doing; and was Unmerited by me...

Yes.

Edit. Being chosen is not based upon anything. It's unconditional upon man. Conditional on Jesus Christ.

Conditional on the Triune God.
Conditional on the Father, who elects;
Conditional on the Son, who atones;
Conditional on the Spirit, who regenerates.
All 3 persons working together, unified, in concert.

Ephesians 1:3-14

3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

Paul gives praise, glory and honor to the Father in 1:3-6
Paul gives praise, glory and honor to the Son in 1:7-12
Paul gives praise, glory and honor to the Holy Spirit in 1:13-14

Salvation is Assigned by the Father
Salvation is Achieved through the Son
Salvation is Active from the Holy Spirit

Hence once again we see the Trinity in Action in the life of the believer! Salvation is administered and assigned by the Father, accomplished and achieved through the Son and applied and activated by the Holy Spirit. We see the Trinity in action in the Redemption of the believer.

hope this helps !!!
