Lebanon is mostly praised in the Old Testament, where-as Israel is always criticized, always needing to be punished by God.

Sng 4:8 Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse

Hos 13:16 Samaria (i.e Israel) shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

Now this is something to brag about.

I personally don't think the proxies that surround Israel are
powerful enough to conquer the Nation

an all out invasion with Russia, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, etc maybe with some China backing
would be able to do that, but God will intervene

like the prophecies about 1948 and 1967,
there is some prophecy about Israel taking what seems to be Syrian territory, maybe in a number of engagements,
the destruction of Damascus is supposed to be due to something Israel does,
and the destruction of Elam is still another scenario

it's strange how the Israeli Left see the country as just an outpost of Western/European style liberalism in the Middle East

actually, not Egypt
they and Saudi A are dependent on Israel, and would protest a bit
involved would be those more to the south and west - Sudan and Libya

another thing to consider is that prophecy can be circular
with maybe some partial/typological fulfillment(s) happening
when the actual prophetic fulfillment happens tho, I think those who recognize will know

the judgement on Gog is said to last a whole Year
as did plagues in Egypt before the Exodus,
and the troubles that Job went through at the exact same time

The word actually means that you are responding to a prior statement, making a new statement that is more correct. But you included no quote. Nor are you responding to the post prior to this, since the the prior post is also by you. There is therefore no context for your remark.

HOOT!!!
Now I have to go rent that movie. ?
it's an oddball Culty classic
it has a lot of cussing and is weird and rude - which, honestly, will not be for most Christians
so be forewarned!

that said, Walter's devotion to his convert Judaism is endearingly funny

Are you aware that being "shomer shabbat" is an Orthodox thing?
the legitimacy of his Jewishness is part of the joke -
he is both....er, ham fisted and big hearted
he is the rudest character, but also the most comical

Jew or Not Jew website argues that the film is a sacrilegious parody of NT characters
possibly another turn off for Christians...

I'm personally not up on who "rolls" on Shabbat and who does not
