And you act on the mental too. Fruit of the spirit.in His teaching Jesus didn't stop at just physical obedience, he applied it to issues of the Mind and Heart as well
Jesus taught nothing new.

exactly,Jesus taught nothing new.
Doesn't look like it from Paul. My point was matters of the heart.exactly,
during his public ministry He taught Mosaic covenant/law - to the full that God really requires
both directly, and indirectly
perhaps you misunderstand PaulDoesn't look like it from Paul. My point was matters of the heart.
Not at all. There's no misunderstanding eating unclean food, etc.perhaps you misunderstand Paul
I'm not sure what you're asking.Question for Jewy or anyone:
is there a Jewish teaching style of, like...least to greatest or greatest to least or something like that?
I'm not sure off my head where it's at - Jesus or Paul or someone - I can't search right nowI'm not sure what you're asking
Not just one, but several. Orthodoxy has elements of mysticism, rationalism, mussar, chassidism, etc.I'm not sure off my head where it's at - Jesus or Paul or someone - I can't search right now
where they are sort of saying
"well you could do such and such and such"
"or you could do blah blah and blah"
'or...maybe you could just Love each other? you think you could try to do that?"
people focus on the first stuff or the second stuff as if they are Commanded
but IMO He really is just teaching them to Love
I was wondering if it was a Jewish/Rabbinic style of teaching
Well said. Shkoyech. And we decide to choose him. That's how you establish a covenant. It's two way.
Definitely. In my yeshiva-dojo we learned to pray via Praying Mantis style.Question for Jewy or anyone:

not drunken monkey fist?Definitely. In my yeshiva-dojo we learned to pray via Praying Mantis style.
Why, thank you.Jews tell such great stories
I find the above interesting because the Theology of Jacob (and Isaac and Abraham) would have only gone thru or from"Creation to Jacob"
If you believe this to be true, you wouldn’t be insisting that Abraham was a Jew on other boards.Only God's Word of revelation should be trusted as such.
