Yes. Very much so. It has been my position all along that baptism is for those who are already saved. You know, like the Bible says.
Okay so if I said baptism saved me because of Jesus Christ I'm going to hell, according to you, right?
I rest my case.

I decided to let the moderators handle it.
Handle what? You just admitted again if I believe the verse I'm going to hell, ergo...
Look at this similar entry of yours and there's more where this came from.

Don't care. I showed you what scripture says. I showed you what the original text says. I showed you what the grammar says. I showed you historical evidence. I cited respected scholars.
I gave a good faith effort to try to correct you. You didn't want to hear the truth. So now, you and Bonnie and Nic can just continue on your way to Hell for all I care.

You realize misquoting somebody is against the rules, right? So, show the post where I ever said anything like that or be reported.

Thanks. Maybe it works differently now or I don't remember it correctly.
The conversation I was having suggested a DTS [Dallas Theological Seminary] student could move credits over by that method and I recall it was more than a few. I recall telling my WELS pastor at the time, there would be no way I could endure the law as gospel at DTS. I came out of so much of that stuff, the idea of returning for any length of time was too oppressive.

Good. I'm glad to hear you no longer believe in salvation by baptism.
Sure I do. Peter says so in 1 Peter 3. I guess he was a heretic, huh? "Baptism NOW saves you.....through Christ's resurrection."

Baptism doesn't wash dirt from our bodies, but dirt from our souls, unites us with Christ in His death on the cross, burying our sins, and then we are raised to new life in Him as He was raised to new life at His Resurrection. Read Romans 6. :)

Peter wasn't dishonest. He quoted the whole thing, not just an out of context snippet, like you have to do.

Nothing in Romans 6 says baptism removes dirt from our soul.

I didn't read it out of context. Read it many times IN context. And I would be more than happy to quote it all for you if you like.

NIV :)

He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. 19 After being made alive,[d] he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— 20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.[e] It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ...

Peter makes an interesting comparison here. The waters of the flood killed all the wicked people in the world, drowning them....yet those in the Ark were saved THROUGH the water. How is that possible? Because while the water drowned the wicked, it actually saved those on the Ark because the Ark floated atop the water. AND this symbolizes "baptism that NOW SAVES YOU ALSO. NOT by removing dirt from our bodies, but by giving us a clear conscience towards God. And that is through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, by Whom we have the forgiveness of sins.
Nothing in Romans 6 says baptism removes dirt from our soul.
I never said it did. I said to read Romans 6, meaning, about the second half of my post, about sins buried with Jesus; etc. I am sorry I wasn't clearer. But if you had read Romans 6, surely you would have seen what I wrote on here, from Romans 6, though I paraphrased a bit.

No mention of sprinkling babies?

They share the belief that baptism is necessary for salvation with Catholics and Oneness.
But the thread isnt about that, and Jesus does say make disciples and baptise them, so I dont see your problem with them.

Personally I wouldn't baptise infants and babies, but at my local Anglican church I still support it since it isnt obviously wrong unlike the lgbt stuff.

Matt 24:15 “So when you see the desolating sacrilege standing in the holy place, as was spoken of by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand), 16 then those in Judea must flee to the mountains; 17 the one on the housetop must not go down to take what is in the house; 18 the one in the field must not turn back to get a coat. 19 Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing infants in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a sabbath. 21 For at that time there will be great suffering, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
Amen.

You're the one who asked.

That's right. Discipleship, then baptism. Nothing about being saved by baptism.
True, and I agree. But seeing as Jesus taught to baptise it wont hurt that they are baptised.
Also the epistles do imply Baptism is necessary for salvation.
