Friends and Family Who Died Yet Were Never Saved

Most if not all of us have deceased friends, family members, and others we have known and loved who were not saved at the time of their deaths. How can we live with the thought of their being lost forever separated from God? Apologist William Lane Craig says that it doesn't really matter because when we are with Jesus in heaven we will be so happy that those lost souls won't matter to us. Do you agree with Craig?

Craig is speaking beyond what the Bible teaches. We can guess about why that situation is tolerable to God, or to us, but if we make a definite claim about anything that is not specified in the Word, there is no way to know if we are right. We do know the idea of no more sorrows, no more tears, but we do not know the means.

That's correct. As far as I know the Bible says nothing about the deceased, unsaved loved ones of Christians. Nevertheless, the Bible is not all truth which is to say it doesn't tell us everything. Some truths we need to figure out on our own.

Actually, some of God's truths are accessible through the work of God as well as the word of God. One of those works is our minds which we can use to come to conclusions that are not mentioned in scripture.
We do know the idea of no more sorrows, no more tears, but we do not know the means.
Sometimes no more tears is incidental to the suffering of other people. Anybody who is happy in this world or the next world is happy in spite of the sadness of many others.

Agreed, the only way to know Gods truths is if He is come and manifest Himself in you. Jesus didnt even know Gods truths until God opens up in him His truths about Himself and all of His heaven in Jesus in Matt 3:16. We are not exempt from the same. And once that mind has been enlightened by God Himself, it becomes easy to see in the Bible that what man has added, edited, and chosen to be in there. It has noting all to do with God writing a bible but how man perceives what he wants to hear and put in a book.

Yes for sure. And when I compare what others said of themselves and of God and of Jesus in the Bible compared to what was quoted of Jesus saying, I find lots of discrepancies, especially in Pauls account. It is obvious that Paul never receieved from God that what Jesus did in Matt 3:16and the very reason he went to a grave as a sinner that he never repented from.

For the most part, Christians has not grasped the concepts of Jesus. He was very clear that the kingdom of God doesnt come with observation, heaven or hell is not a place we go to and observe, we do not observe a physical god coming someday and save mankind, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:20-21

People just do not believe Jesus in these things for through religious minds void of Gods mind to have from God His same and to be perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect. In that; joy replaces all sadness because God lives within. It is who we are the same way God made Jesus who he was in Matt 3:16, and not what we believe of a god but how we become like Him to know this difference. it always has been that way with God for Adam was the first to recieve from God the same as Jesus did in Matt 3:16, where he became like GHod as well to know this difference. Gen 3:22.

Most see that to become like God is blaspheme, impossible to be prefect as He is, and is impossible to walk as He walks in His same light, impossible to have the same signs follow them.

A Christian is christ like no different from who Jesus was in the Farther at all, if one is different. from Jesus in the Father then one is not Christian at all, for a Christian is Gods anointed one. CXHrist = Gods anointing in man, have His same mind and walk in it no different from Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, 120. The same is in us all who has received from God His same mind as these did.

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Gal 3:22-29

Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 2 Corinthians 13:5

This is "heartbreaking" at least while we are still alive knowing loved ones were lost. And to be blunt, William Lane Craig's answer is not the Biblical answer, in so many words. Revelation 21:4-5, "and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no longer any death; there shall be any mourning, or crying, or pain; THE FIRST THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY."

Vs5, "And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I AM MAKING ALL THINGS NEW." And He said Write, for these words are faithful and true." In other words, we will have no remembrance of the past. Hope this helps!

it is obvious that some do not know what Gods salvation is and has made their own rules for salvation. The Jews of Jesus day didnt adhere to his salvation at all and had their own salvation just as all denominations has their own rules for salvation. the Jews Jesus wasn't saved at all, in fact a blasphemer of their laws and had him crucified for that offense.

it is no different today. Some in this very forum accuse me of not being saved, but these do not understand Jesus when he was very clear that the kingdom of God, which is His salvation, doesn't come with observation, but his within you. Like 17:20-021. Very few actually believe Jesus in his statements for reality. Too many here they call his ways as gnostic lies for the very same reason the Jews did Jesus.

Jesus is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4

And I happen to be one of them that say your not saved/born again. The Apostle Peter was asked, "What must we do to be saved?" He did "NOT" say, "The kingdom is not coming with signs to be observed." Why are you comparing "apples and oranges?" The verses you quoted from Luke 17 are about the second coming of Jesus Christ, not about getting saved. Geesh! What planet are your from?

That is because you never have received from God His salvation. You cant know that what you dont have from God Himself.

I understand that you do not believe Jesus when he said bluntly, the kingdom fo God desalt come with observation, but is within you. That is why you cant see what Gods salvation is. See Jesus prayer to his God in John 17 for you top be on the Father and He been you as one as He was in Jesus and Jesus was in Him as one.

Because you reject Him to be in you is exactly why you cant relate to His salvation which is to be perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect. and you cant walk as He walks in His same light with the same signs following. His saved are all of these things.

Here is the real issue here. In 1 John 3, when you see Him as He is ye shall be like Him. Jesus saw in Matt 3:16. This is exactly what you are missing to be saved by God as Jesus was saved from the laws for sin of the Jewish beliefs, temples that he once taught in.

you dont have a clue what gods salvation is. his salvation is to be exactly like Him and perfect even as you're Father unshaven is perfect as Jesus commandment to be. You just do not follow the ways of Christ, you make him what you want him to be instead of you being like Him as Jesus was like Him.

Amen I am His son, you are supposed to be as well.

Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Col 1
