From the dripping Faucit; Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread.

The Virology Journal – the official publication of Dr. Fauci’s National Institutes of Health – published what is now a blockbuster article on August 22, 2005, under the heading – get ready for this – “Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread.” (Emphasis mine throughout.) Write the researchers, “We report…that chloroquine has strong antiviral effects on SARS-CoV infection of primate cells. These inhibitory effects are observed when the cells are treated with the drug either before or after exposure to the virus, suggesting both prophylactic and therapeutic advantage.”

This means, of course, that Dr. Fauci has known for 15 years that chloroquine and it’s even milder derivative hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) will not only treat a current case of coronavirus (“therapeutic”) but prevent future cases (“prophylactic”). So HCQ functions as both a cure and a vaccine. In other words, it’s a wonder drug for coronavirus. Said Dr. Fauci’s NIH in 2005, “concentrations of 10 μM completely abolished SARS-CoV infection.” Fauci’s researchers add, “chloroquine can effectively reduce the establishment of infection and spread of SARS-CoV.”

Now he plays stupid
Pretends we have no idea if it works or how it works
Doesn't know if it causes damage.

This is not a new experiment.

Dr. Didier Raoult, the Anthony Fauci of France, had such spectacular success using HCQ to treat victims of SARS-CoV-2 that he said way back on February 25 that “it’s game over” for coronavirus.

He and a team of researchers reported that the use of HCQ administered with both azithromycin and zinc cured 79 of 80 patients with only “rare and minor” adverse events. “In conclusion,” these researchers write, “we confirm the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine associated with azithromycin in the treatment of COVID-19 and its potential effectiveness in the early impairment of contagiousness.”

I guess the lesson here is that we need to believe Dr. Fauci whenever he's right, and disbelieve him whenever he's wrong. Too bad he says contradictory things over and over again; makes it so much harder.

Modern psychology offers nothing new on that.

Yeah, I can't tell that thinking has advanced any. 19 centuries later you've got Albert Camus saying "the only philosophical question worth considering is suicide."

So is Tony senile? Doesn't remember his testing HCQ and how it transports thru the cell membrane?

At very least he seems to be unaware that there are people who are not on board with the left-wing press. He seems to be behaving as though he believes that CNN and MSLSD are going to be able to protect him from reality. That assumption is not going to serve him very well. I think we're quickly reaching the point where the Democrat party's gonna have to offload him before the midterm elections.

lol.

Just because two viruses share a similar structure doesn't mean that they are going to be affected by a drug in the same way.

Prove it. You have no lab training.
Why didn't your dishonest sources tell us Faucit had a lot of experience with HCQ?

You are a distance medical science outsider.

Intellectual lethargy.

Since chloroquine inhibited SARS-CoV infection when added before or after infection, we hypothesized that another common lysosomotropic agent, NH4Cl, might also function in a similar manner. Ammonium chloride has been widely used in studies addressing endosome-mediated virus entry. Coincidently, NH4Cl was recently shown to reduce the transduction of pseudotype viruses decorated with SARS-CoV spike protein In an attempt to examine if NH4Cl functions similarly to chloroquine, we performed infection analyses in Vero E6 cells before (Fig. and after they were treated with various concentrations of NH4Cl. In both cases, we observed a 93–99% inhibition with NH4Cl at ≥ 5 mM. These data indicated that NH4Cl (≥ 5 mM) and chloroquine (≥ 10 μM) are very effective in reducing SARS-CoV infection. These results suggest that effects of chloroquine and NH4Cl in controlling SARS CoV infection and spread might be mediated by similar mechanism(s).

2005 they were working with HCQ and spike proteins.

Nope.
Are you proud of relying on dishonest fact check bloggers which have no science education?

Prove it.

No need to prove it, the idea that different viruses will react in different ways to different drugs is basic biology that is understood by anyone that has studied Biology at a high school level.

You have no lab training.

I have more experience in a lab from my first week studying Physics at university than you have over your entire life.

Why didn't your dishonest sources tell us Faucit had a lot of experience with HCQ?

I quoted no sources, just made a point of basic biology.

You are a distance medical science outsider.

While I have no formal medical training, I at least understand some basics. The last 20 years of your posting here show that you have no understanding of even basic biology.

So you from England are blocked from comments on HCQ?
Then needs to ramp up your slander.
You pretend to study physics? Flat earther taking physics class?
Here I am to our records the only person that posts here that ever hired a real Pharmacist. With an MBA. From a top 20 university. On the State Pharmacy Board.

I have always been blessed to be surrounded with high achievers.
The locals don't get close to real pharmacists. Like my niece. My sister managed a Hospital Pharmacy.

Your link does not include a link to the paper in question.

There is no journal that I can find that is called "The Virology Journal". There is a "Virology Journal" that is published by BioMed Central through the publishing house Springer, not by Fauci's institute.

A search for the title of the paper you reference produces this link:

The authors provide evidence that chloroquine inhibits other SARS viruses in primate cells. While this may suggest a possible therapeutic role, promotion of this drug for covid patients can only be supported by results of properly conducted clinical trials.

Fauci did not do any such testing.
Note that thousands of biomedical research papers are published each month.
He sends grants to labs

I posted before that he is a cube farm rat and doesn't do lab work. He sends more money/grants if they publish what he wants to hear.
Can you post a couple hundred papers he rejected because they didn't agree with his bias?
