Scientifically, with what we know about human reproduction, as we go backward in time, we expect the number of human beings who have lived to decrease. At what number of human beings living will we eventually arrive? What will be the sex of each?

Many modern humans have Neanderthal and Denisovans DNA, so you will need to include the number of Neanderthals and Denisovans in your calculations. Than means, for example, as you go back before the Neanderthals became extinct the number of ancestors in the gene pool will increase.

Further back there will be a population of proto-humans that split into Sapiens (us) and Neanderthal. It is very unlikely that the Sapiens part of the split was as small as a single family; we would have problems due to inbreeding as do cheetahs. The split was likely geographical, with Sapiens staying in Africa while Neanderthals moved north into Europe and Denisovans east into the Urals. All three would have been tribal groups, not single families.

There's info explaining this from both the evo and creationist side.

That being the case, I take from your answer that you don't believe homo sapiens sapiens come from 2 common ancestors; is that correct?

Correct. The common ancestors were a group of interbreeding almost-humans, who evolved into humans over the generations.
