Sweden's cases are on the rise, as are South Dakota's. Herd immunity is a dumb approach that leads to more sick people and more deaths. It was "used" in the past because that's all people had when they didn't understand infectious diseases. Japan has a much better example of how to handle the virus... and it isn't herd immunity.Like they did in Sweden? South Dakota? Like it has been done since the beginning of time?
Not really. The bulk of C-19 is asymptomatic or mild symptoms and the bulk recover. Attributed deaths are mostly senior citizens with comorbidities. Given those facts, C-19 is more analogous to the common cold, not deadly flu. You are peddling fear and superstition, not science. Also, ignore Obama declared a national emergency with swine flu only after a body count of 1000 and 20,000 infection and did not shut down schools or the economy. No masks no social distancing. In 2020 they shut down everything based on an oracle (not body counts) from on high no more accurate than consulting an ouija board. Now you are ignoring the negative effects of the shutdowns on communities, including school kids who are failing at higher rates.
“This history of respiratory viruses and other coronaviruses tend to diminish and almost disappear as you get into summer. It’s just something that happens every year.” Fauci.
Masks more superstition. The origin source for all these measures is a high school project.
The idea has been around for centuries. But it took a high school science fair, George W. Bush, history lessons and some determined researchers to overcome skepticism and make it federal policy.www.nytimes.com
Dr. Glass’s daughter Laura, then 14, had done a class project in which she built a model of social networks at her Albuquerque high school, and when Dr. Glass looked at it, he was intrigued.
