Nothing serious. No worries. 😉

Show me where scripture teaches against it.

Do we really need to go over all this? I think you may know the teaching on this?

Lol.

Nope not really. It’s not a salvational issue

Is an infant capable of believing? Seriously?
I don’t know. I do know John the Baptist jumped in his mothers womb ? Read the story.
But you think belief and faith are two different things.
Are you suggesting baptismal regeneration? I hope not.
I think you have this verse a bit mixed up.
😎

Are you thinking this verse proves something? If so, what?

I believe the order given in scripture was given for a reason belief first baptism second after belief.

I was baptized last year. I had been baptized when I was 13, but I had believed a false gospel back then. I prayed and studied, and felt that I should get baptized again at age 37 to identify with Christ in His life, death, burial and resurrection.
If you feel convicted to be baptized, then do so.
What type of church were you first baptized in?
The story you mentioned sounds similar to the "Primitive Baptist" churches. Although I agree with the black rock address, I cant get behind many of their more modern teachings.

I have a question for the Presbyterians though. Should I also baptize me 37 year old wife, 15 year old daughter, 13 year old son, and 11 year old son? Even if they hate this truth? They may get angry and start fighting me.
Once children hit a certain age it’s kinda up to them I think?

It was a "non-denominational" Calvinist church. Not Reformed though. Not confessional either.

Yes I agree. That is why I was asking you. Other Presbyterians haven't answered me, so I am grateful you did.

At what age should children not be baptized? When is it too old?

While he is dead, he must make a wish.

He has to make a decision to believe something.

Personally I believe it was legit. No matter if reformed or not. As long as baptized in the name of the Father, son and Holy Spirit.

I don’t know. Every child is different.

Do you mean covenantal baptism with children? At birth is too old for that IMHO. Now, when they profess Christ? That's the biblical time to do so.

I’m running? No I don’t think so. If I break this down for you will you run?
You usually do

Well that was what my question was regarding. Do some people believe that "baptizing" an infant places them in the covenant of grace? This is another question that most people don't want to answer.

It is about the covenant. Just like circumcision in the OT

But to really get more involved in baptism it be better off in the correct category and thread.

They compare it to the covenant of circumcision. I then ask them why they baptize girls. ;)

I've always had them answer, and I am not against them for it. Some get really uptight over it though. Some of my family do. They always bring it up, lol. It's a little too late for me to practice that anyhow, plus I wouldn't want to confuse my children, which is why I stick to clear passages that show believers baptism.

Tom, no one can be until they cannot be.

Then they can be.........

Calvinism makes perfect sense.

Not.

Sigh ...........
