Ever wonder where KJVO-the false doctrine that the KJV is the only valid English Bible translation out there came from? Here's the skinny:
In 1930, a 7th Day Adventist official, Dr. Benjamin Wilkinson(1872-1968), published a book he named "Our Authorized Bible Vindicated" in response to a squabble within the SDA cult. This book is a collection of snippets in favor of the KJV of God's holy word, and is full of goofs, such as the "Psalm 12:6-7 thingie". Apparently, Wilkinson didn't bother to check 0ut the VERACITY of any of the info he gathered. And he copied PARTS of Dean John Burgon's writings, omitting anything that was critical of the Textus Receptus.

He obtained a Scottish copyright for this book, which he apparently allowed to lapse many years ago, as interest in his book was mostly limited to the SDA cult, and for only a short time.

Do you not know the ORIGIN of the current edition of the KJVO myth? It's derived from a 1930 book, Our Authorized Bible Vindicated by Dr. Benjamin Wilkinson, a 7TH DAY ADVENTIST preacher/teacher/official.That same man also rated the writings of Ellen Gould White on a par with Scripture. His book was heavily plagiarized by two later dishonest authors who used modern media to hawk their wares & spread the KJVO lie. GOD DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!
Thus, the ONLY justification you have for KJVO is personal preference. Otherwise, you cannot legitimately support it.

Once you believe you have the inerrant word of God in your hands, where you have EVERY word of God you are commanded to live by, the Bible-Correcting-Crowd will attack with falsehood to discredit it. they do this because to them, NOTHING is pure. It's like they have vowed they will not receive with meekness the engrafted inerrant word which is able to save their souls neither will they allow others to receive it with meekness:

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. - Mat 23:13

Ever before Benjamin G. Wilkinson was born in 1872, people have these to say:

1787 - "It is true, indeed, that some very devout and well-meaning people carry the prejudice too far, when they profess to believe, that our translation was written with the finger of the Almighty, and that to alter a title of it is to be guilty of blasphemy. But still, as the faith of such persons is strong, and their intentions pious,..." - Essays, Moral and Literary, Vol 1 1783

1822 - "When an English Protestant gets possession of an English Bible, printed by Thomas Basket, or other "printer of the kings most excellent majesty," he takes it in hand with the same confidence, as if he had immediately received it from the Almighty Himself, as Moses received the tables of the law on Mount Sinai, amidst thunder and lightning." - The End of Religious Controversy. By John Milner 1822

1828 - "So ill taught are many Christians that they cannot think that any translation of the scripture deserves that title of the Word of God except that of the King James. The translators of the King's version did not themselves think so, as we have shown most conclusively by publishing their own preface- on which preface we have some remarks to make, at a more convenient time. If King James' version is the ONLY Word of God on earth, then all nations who speak any other language than the English, have no Revelation. I would thank some of those ignorant declaimers to tell us where the Word of God was before the reign of king James!" - (The Christian Baptist, Vols 5-6 1828 Edited by Alexander Campbell)

1830 - "Yet, at the same time," says the Christian Observer, "does not every divine, even those who would not strongly object to the latter part of Mr. Wilson's statements; nay, does not the most uninstructed person who thinks the very words of king james's translation, the original diction of the Holy Spirit, familiarly speak of the respective styles of St. Paul or St. John; of the sublimity of Isaiah, or the pathos of Jeremiah;...?" - (The Inspiration of the Scriptures. 1830)

From the above quotes, the phrases “So ill taught..” , “The most uninstructed..” They are referring to the common people. Isn’t it amazing that it is the common people that heard Him gladly and not the unbelieving scholars?:

David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly. – Mar 12:37 KJB

The Bible-Correcting-Crowd are good at regurgitating falsehood passed down to them by their unbelieving scholars. God promised to preserve His words and those that believed they have His inerrant word in their hands they mockingly call them "KJV-Only" not knowing they themselves are bearing a true witness to God's promise, a witness that is also against them. When the disciples were first called Christians, at that time, there were probably some pagans (Followers of many gods) mockingly calling believers of Jesus Christ "Christians" (Followers of Jesus). Yes, they follow Jesus Christ ONLY. Can a pagan who mockingly call believers of Jesus Christ "Christians" ever deny not hearing the gospels?

I see you have been posting this topic over and over for years. I would like to ask you a question. Your "great grand scholars" searched for the autographs with no avail. Lets say today they got lucky and found them, would you stick ONLY to the autographs?

The Bible-Correcting-Crowd are like the woman in the Bible that overlaid her son (the autographs) and then kidnapped a living son (the quick). Appearing before the king, the only quick we have in our hands they say to the king, Let it be neither ours nor theirs, but divide it. But the king was a wise man, he did not divide it and since then they approach and see it as a dead book, dead letter. But believers knows that the word of God is quick! To them, nothing can be like the one the woman overlaid. Since they cannot find it, every other thing must have errors. When they say all Bible translation have errors, you know where they are coming from. Hypocrites, they are autographs-only!

When you find the Book of the LORD, the engrafted word and you receive it with meekness, the adversary and his cohorts will come up with anything to discredit it for they know it can save your soul.

KJV-only advocates are not bearing a true witness to God's promise since they try to claim or imply that God promised something that He did not. God did not promise to bind the word of God to the textual criticism decisions, Bible revision decisions, and translation decisions of one exclusive group of doctrinally-unsound Church of England critics in 1611. God did not promise to restore or to regive His word in English only in 1611 and only to Church of England critics.

God's words to be preserved were the exact, specific original-language words given by inspiration to the prophets and apostles.

God was just as faithful to keep His promises before 1611 as afterwards while human KJV-only reasoning would suggest that God failed to keep His promises to English-speaking believers before 1611. The word of God had been translated into English many years before 1611, and KJV-only advocates do not say that God's promises provided English-speaking believers before 1611 with a perfect, inerrant English translation with every word of God. Church of England critics in 1611 would make hundreds and thousands of changes and revisions to the pre-1611 word of God in English.

KJV-only advocates also do not say that God promised to provide a perfect every word Latin Bible translation, a perfect every-word Spanish Bible, a perfect every-word German Bible, a perfect every word French Bible, etc. Therefore, it is clear that KJV-only advocates are very inconsistent in their human reasoning concerning God's promises. KJV-only advocates fail to demonstrate that they are actually believing what God said and promised when they choose to believe inconsistent, non-scriptural opinions of men concerning the KJV.

My statement does not mention the autographs so your question attempts to misrepresent and distort what I said or tries to assume something that I did not say. Therefore, your question is invalid.

The original-language words of Scripture given by inspiration to the prophets and apostles could be and would be preserved in the existing, preserved original-language manuscript copies of Scripture.

The existing, preserved Scriptures in the original languages remain the proper standard and greater authority for the making and trying of all Bible translations just as the KJV translators suggested in the 1611 preface.

The Bible-Correcting-Crowd

Who is the supposedly unidentified "Bible-correcting-crowd"? You fail to define your term of allegation, and you clearly do not apply your term consistently and justly. You may allege and accuse, but you do not prove your allegations to be true.

The Church of England makers of the KJV could be part of your unidentified "Bible-Correcting-Crowd" and so could KJV-only advocates since they show partiality or respect of persons to the Bible-correcting involved in the making of the 1611 KJV.

Since the Church of England makers of the KJV did not follow and translate faithfully and solely any one existing Old Testament Hebrew text edition or any one Greek New Testament text edition because they consulted, used, and followed multiple, textually-varying editions, this fact of their use of multiple, varying editions would make them the correctors of any edition of Hebrew Scripture and the Greek NT Scripture in their day according to a consistent, just application of your own term. The critics and revisers who made the KJV also made hundreds and thousands of changes, revisions, and corrections to the pre-1611 word of God in English, again making them Bible correctors.

Why are you in effect accusing and attacking the Bible correctors who made the 1611 KJV?

Do you claim to reject the Bible correcting that was done to the 1611 edition of the KJV in later editions?

Can you PROVE the KJVO myth is true? And what you call "Bible-correctors" are actually BETTER TRANSLATION makers, whose work does NOT include the goofs & booboos found in older translations, such as "Easter" in the KJV's Acts 12:4.(Easter didn't exist when Luke wrote "Acts".) or the words "and shalt be" in the KJV's Rev. 16:5, words which are NOT found in that verse in ANY known ancient manuscript of the Revelation.

Remember, the KJVO myth isn't found in the KJV itself!

You did not cite or quote the verse as it is found in the KJV.

While the Hebrew Masoretic text does have a Hebrew word for "scribe", the KJV does not use the English rendering scribe. Instead of "scribe's knife" for two Hebrew words, the KJV only has "penknife." Does the KJV omit providing an English word for one Hebrew word here?

Noah Webster's 1833 edition/revision of the KJV has "the scribe's pen-knife" at Jeremiah 36:23 as its rendering for these two Hebrew words. In his introduction, Noah Webster wrote: "The translators have omitted the word scribe or secretary, which is in the Hebrew" (p. xi). Webster also noted: "I am surprised however that men so careful generally to translate every word, should have omitted this."

Did you unintentionally reveal that the KJV is not an every word translation?

From one cult to the KJVO cult.

Talking about the cult, are you saying they will proceed to tell the people thus saith the LORD when the LORD never said such:

Beloved Daughter; said:
You really shouldn't speak for God. He allowed the errors when He could have corrected them. He didn't. I think it's best to allow God to be God.
Do you have the Scripture support for your above statement? The one below I can find in the Bible.
Beloved Daughter; said:
God does hate liars and people who make statements they cannot support with evidence are often liars.
I have been searching the Bible, where God said He allowed errors in His Book but could not find the chapter nor verse. All I see is His warning not to add or remove from it.

Your question does not relate to what I state. I have not claimed that there is a need to have the original autographs. You are trying to allege something that I do not claim.

It is the words given by inspiration to the prophets and apostles that God preserved. God gave the instructions for the copying of the words of Scripture. The same exact words were to be copied, nothing omitted and nothing added and nothing changed.

All I see is His warning not to add or remove from it.
You and KJV-only advocates fail to heed and honor God's warnings and instructions. Your human, non-scriptural KJV-only reasoning conflicts with those warnings.

The Church of England makers of the KJV acknowledged that added many words for which they did not have any original-language words of Scripture. In their 1611 marginal notes, the Church of England makers of the KJV also acknowledged that they gave no English rendering for several original-language words of Scripture.
