Fact: God intentionally placed the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden
Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Satan made 2 claims when beguiling Eve:
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil
One of these claims were true:
Gen 3
22 ¶ And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil
Honest question for Christians: If it wasn't God's plan for man to become like Him, why did God intentionally place the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden in the first place?
