Grave/mortal sin and venial sin

How can that be when they were declared mortal sins by infallible popes, and NOW they are not. Did "infallible" popes err? I see a problem there. So which Pope is right?

No Pope is necessarily right or wrong.
It’s simply adjusting doctrines to the times.

Now why does that not surprise me at all?

One does not have to believe in every single doctrine, to still be a member of a church.

There are many churches in which you do not have to believe anything at all. Being a member of a church will not get you into heaven.

So bad sins not mortal/grave sins. But I find it interesting RCs demand that Biden and others not be allowed to receive communion but do not demand the same for their priests who have molested children, raped nuns etc.
