You may not be allowed to go to school.
You may not be allowed to shop in a store.
They’re even threatening to take kids away from their parents, in some states, if they don’t obey their arbitrary mandates.

You still have not shown that EVERYONE in this country MUST BE VACCINATED AGAINST COVID--OR ELSE.
But most schools require that children be vaccinated against certain diseases, like measles and meningitis, or they cannot attend schools....I know I had to have certain vaccines before I could attend school, back in the 50's and 60's....so, is that an "arbitrary mandate" as well?

No I don't know it but what I do know is he doesn't fall into one of the categories that puts people most at risk. Scaring people is a weak way to gain compliance.
Well first of all United Airlines has given their employees a deadline to get vaccinated. Those who refuse will be terminated. That is the functional definition of forced as the outcome is exactly the same as being forced. Please dont play word games. It takes away from your otherwise fairly reasonable posts.
Next you're right it's not EVERYONE because if you work for the post office or a member of congress or play in the NBA you are exempt. I guess Orwell was right some are more equal than others.

No one was scared into getting the vaccine, in our family. We decided it was the sensible and right thing to do, especially for my husband.
But then, when the polio vaccine came out in the 50's, parents got their kids vaccinated, out of fear of the virus attacking and crippling, maybe even killing, their children. In fact, surveys back then showed that, after nuclear attack, the thing patents feared most was the polio virus.

Good. Once again you are not everyone. Jabbing kids who are not in a high risk group, fat or sick is being done out of fear or ignorance. I'll let you decide.

My daughter and SIL already had their kids vaccinated.
Children are far less at risk of getting really sick from covid, that is true...but the point IS, some HAVE gotten covid AND gotten very sick from it--and a few have even died. The newspaper has had a couple of stories about children that caught covid, then got really, really sick, and died from it. Neither had any health problems, if I remember correctly. The problem is--no one can predict which child will get the disease and if they do, which will get really sick from it--and maybe die from it. Cold comfort to their parents, the knowledge that children rarely get really sick from covid and die from it. When their child DID.

Yes people die from all sorts of things all the time but the govt doesnt mandate people to put things into their bodies that they don't want as a result.

Then you had better complain to the local school board about kids needing certain immunizations before they can attend public schools...and not too many kids like getting shots.
Well I noticed something about those other vaccines they actually stop people from getting the disease they were made for.

That is because most kids got the vaccines, or they could not attend public schools. Plus, not all viruses mutate as easily as some respiratory ones, unfortunately.
Here is the thing that can't be ignored the measles vaccine stops people from getting measles. Covid is not spreading simply because some people aren't vaccinated.
