Hell's Daily Body Count

1Kings 22:18-23 . . I saw Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of
heaven standing by Him on His right and on His left. And Jehovah said: Who will
entice Ahab to go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one said this while another
said that.

"Then a spirit came forward and stood before Jehovah and said: I will entice him."

"And Jehovah said to him: How?"

"And he said; I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all his
prophets."

"Then He said: You are to entice him and also prevail. Go and do so."

"Now therefore, behold, Jehovah has put a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all these
your prophets; and Jehovah has proclaimed disaster against you."

That scene depicts a very strange alliance. God actually recruited someone from the
demon world to do some dirty work for Him: a black op, so to speak. That suggests
to me that the demon world is neither totally useless nor totally in Satan's control;
some are actually assets, which can be defined as something useful in an effort to
foil or defeat an enemy: such as a piece of military equipment, a spy, or an
assassin.

It's likely that God still manages some of His affairs like that even today when He
wants certain individuals destroyed without getting His hands dirty. For example
from post No.1 it's seen that some folks are on a road to Hell while others are on a
road to something better, i.e. the few and the many. I really have to wonder if
maybe some of those many on the road to Hell weren't talked into going that way
by spirits recruited by God to do it for Him. Now that's scary. Can you just imagine
the horror of being targeted like that and not aware of it! (cf. 2Thess 2:8-12)

1Kings 22:18-23 . . I saw Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of

The host of heaven in 1Kings 22:19 is commonly assumed to be angels; but the
thing is; they're not all holy angels because one of them can't be trusted.

"A spirit came forward, stood before The Lord and said: I will entice him.. . . I will
go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets." (1Kings 22:21-22)

Here lately I've begun to suspect that something very strange and unusual has
been influencing American politics; and I can't help but wonder if that same lying
spirit hasn't been active of late in the mouths of our government's think tanks and
brain trusts, subtly steering this country down a road to ruin. And if so, is God
behind it like when He was behind Ahab's ruin?

The Divine Comedy
by Dante Alighieri
Inferno: canto 3, v.1-9

Through me; the way to the eternal city.
Through me; the way to eternal sadness.
Through me; the way to lost people.

Justice moved my supreme maker:
I was shaped by divine power,
By highest wisdom, and by primal love.

Before me, nothing was created
That is not eternal: and eternally I endure.
Abandon all hope, you that enter here.

Dante's poetic epic is called a comedy because it has a happy ending as opposed to
a tragedy; at least for Dante anyway. The souls he and Virgil pass along the way
through the Inferno portion of Dante's odyssey will never, nor anon, have a happy
ending; hence the sign above the entrance to his netherworld: "Abandon all hope,
you that enter here."

Webster's defines "despair' as: to no longer have any hope or belief that a situation
will improve or change. Well; down in the Inferno section of Dante's concept,
despair is a way of life. It's likely not much different in the real inferno.

When people first get there, no doubt they start asking around to find out how long
they have to stay there. It must be very devastating to encounter folk who've been
languishing in the fiery region of the netherworld since practically the dawn of Man.

One of the hardest concepts to get across is the despair that people in Hell must
feel in knowing that their situation is a sealed fate with no hope of relief. Dante's
odyssey, though of course fiction, is useful for that purpose; especially when it's
accompanied by illustrations painted by Gustave Doré.

Jesus warned his listeners that they'd be better off facing eternity with their hands
and their feet amputated, and their eyes gouged out, then to end up in a region
called gheh'-en-nah in the Greek; a much worse place than Hades. So in my
estimation, Dante's descriptions, and Gustave's paintings, though disturbing
enough in themselves, aren't sufficient to impress just how devastating the ultimate
of fates really is.

Romans 10:
1 Brothers, my heart's deepest desire and my prayer to God for Isra'el is for their salvation;

2 for I can testify to their zeal for God. But it is not based on correct understanding;

3
for, since they are unaware of God's way of making people righteous and instead seek to set up their own, they have not submitted themselves to God's way of making people righteous.

4 For the goal at which the Torah aims is the Messiah, who offers righteousness to everyone who trusts.

5
For Moshe writes about the righteousness grounded in the Torah that the person who does these things will attain life through them. k

6 Moreover, the righteousness grounded in trusting says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend to heaven?'" that is, to bring the Messiah down -

7 or, "'Who will descend into Sh'ol?'" that is, to bring the Messiah up from the dead.

8 What, then, does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart." l that is, the word about trust which we proclaim, namely,

9 that if you acknowledge publicly with your mouth that Yeshua is Lord and trust in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be delivered.

10 For with the heart one goes on trusting and thus continues toward righteousness, while with the mouth one keeps on making public acknowledgement and thus continues toward deliverance.

11 For the passage quoted says that everyone who rests his trust on him will not be humiliated.

12 That means that there is no difference between Jew and Gentile - ADONAI is the same for everyone, rich toward everyone who calls on him,

13 since everyone who calls on the name of ADONAI will be delivered.

done this or not ? we have to be baptized and when we are this is a good testimony for us TO our congregation, to say out aloud to them present, " I confess to you all that, Yeshua, Gods one and only flesh and blood Son, is MY Lord and is my Savior! " only then are we saved!

I sometimes encounter Christians talking about people suffering in Hell forever as if
folks down there have eternal life, No, they don't have eternal life; they have
human life; which is a kind of life vastly inferior to eternal life. Human life is
corruptible whereas eternal life isn't.

Jas 1:13 . . God cannot be tempted with evil

Titus 1:2 . . God cannot lie

corruptible whereas eternal life isn't.

People in Hell have eternal existence, not eternal life. Here is the definition Jesus gave of eternal life in John 17:3, "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." Those in Hell will know all about God and Jesus Christ but they will not actually know them.

I once heard a minister tell the story of a fictional busload of Hell's inmates who
were given a 30 day furlough for some R&R in Heaven. They all came back the first
night because God's world was such a bore.

There were no wild parties, no clothing-optional beaches, no bars, no night clubs,
no porn, no gambling, no pigging-out at buffets, no fights, no profanity, no ribaldry,
no free sex, no vulgar late-night comedy, no exotic dancers, no X-rated movies, no
junk food, no tobacco, no marijuana, no meth, no ecstasy, no LSD, no hunting for
sport, no fishing for sport, and no vices like gambling and prostitution.

And they had trouble seeing their way around. The light in Heaven was so bright
that they had to protect their eyes all the time with thick dark glasses.

And the hellsters didn't particularly care for the isolation. None of the good folk in
Heaven wanted to associate with them: they were ostracized, they were
segregated, and they were quarantined.

Heaven is a pleasant utopia. It's etiquette, its dress code, and its rules of conduct
and civility; were way too strict for the hellsters. Especially suffocating is the
mandatory self control everyone has to exercise in their choice of words to avoid
hurting people's feelings.

In other words: Heaven is a place prepared for a prepared people. Normal people
would quite naturally find God's world disagreeable-- they just wouldn't fit in;
especially with its lack of privacy, its 24-7 Big Brother oversight, and its strict codes
of conduct.

Take for example Wall Street barracudas. Do you really think they'd be happy in
Heaven? Or sweat shop operators? Or influence peddlers? Or lobbyists? Or J
walking pedestrians? Or LGBTQ? Or greedy businessmen like Phil Knight, Bill Gates,
and/or Jeff Bezos? Or unscrupulous social networking moguls like Mark Zuckerberg?
Or cheap politicians? Or bookies? Or hoarders? Or black marketers? Or activists? Or
militant demonstrators and protestors? Or Critical Race theorists? Or 1619 Project
proponents? No. No. No. You see many of the interests that concern Hell's people
are unacceptable in Heaven; and in point of fact, none of Heaven's people even
want to hear about that stuff.

You know what else is lacking in Heaven? Religious tolerance. There is only one
religion up there. What's that tell you? Well; it tells me that the establishment
clause of the US Constitution's first amendment doesn't fly in Heaven. The
theocratic monarchy in Heaven insists upon dictating everyone's religious
preference.

In other words: Heaven's utopian society, coupled with its 24/7 Big Brother
oversight, was just simply too much to ask in exchange for some time off. To the
hellsters, Heaven held little more appeal for a get-away than one of North Korea's
prison camps.

Only the blood of Christ is adequate for purifying sinners to God's satisfaction.

Rev 1:5 . . Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the
dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed
us from our sins in his own blood.

Rev 7:13-14 . . And one of the elders answered, saying unto me: What are these
which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir,
thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great
tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the.
Lamb.

The lake of fire and brimstone can therefore be thought of as a leper colony where
everybody inadequately purified is kept in permanent quarantine.

Matt 25:41 . .Then he will say to those on his left: Depart from me, you who are
cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.

Rev 20:10 . . And the Devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and
brimstone, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

The Devil and the cursed appear to constitute what we might call one big happy
family; so to speak.

Luke 16:26 . . Between us and you a great chasm has been fixed

Luke portrays only a small portion of the geology where Abraham and the rich man
conversed; suggesting that the two locations of the chasm where the men stood
are peninsulas or narrow cornices.

But I rather suspect that the rims of the chasm are straight and parallel like the
banks of a canal; plus extending sufficient distance in either direction to
accommodate hundreds, maybe even thousands, of friends and relatives seeking to
connect with their loved ones and BFFs over on the other side.

If there is one good thing that can be said about the netherworld: it's the great
equalizer. Political bullies like Kim Jong-Un, Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Benito
Mussolini, Xi Jinping, Fidel Castro, Muammar Gaddafi, and Saddam Hussein, are
powerless down below; they're just more nondescript skulls in the gene pool.

Isa 14:9-10 . . Sheol from beneath is excited over you to meet you when you
come. It arouses for you the spirits of the dead, all the leaders of the earth. It
raises all the kings of the nations from their thrones. They will all respond and say
to you: Even you have been made weak as we. You have become like us.

The book of life (Rev 20;12-15) was compiled prior to God creating even the very
first particle for the current cosmos. (Rev 17:8) But I don't think it was compiled
arbitrarily.

According to John 5:24 and Eph 1:13, it's necessary to hear + believe the gospel to
get one's name listed in the book. Well; there's reason to believe that God is able to
view the future. So way back before beginning to construct the cosmos, He looked.
down thru the centuries and foresaw everybody that was going to hear + believe.
Having in hand all the necessary data needed for compiling the book, God went
ahead and got it done and then turned His attention elsewhere.

Now, not everyone is going to be judged on the basis of hearing + believing the
gospel. There are untold millions who never heard, nor will ever hear tell, of a
Christ let alone his crucifixion for the sins of the world.

However, the beauties and complexities of nature, on earth and out in the void,
speak loudly and clearly enough that the cosmos-- all its forms of life, matter, and
energy --is the result of intelligent design. And the human conscience intuitively
knows that there is going to be a reckoning. This is what's known as the everlasting
gospel (Rev 14:6-7} and it has been preaching itself to men all over the globe from
the very beginning. (Ps 19:1 6 & Rom 1:18-20 & Rom 2:14-16)

According to Rom 10:18, nature itself is the word of God; and accounted as a
gospel. This is pretty cool because by nature's gospel, folks all over the globe--
both primitive and civilized --can be saved. In point of fact, ignorance is truly bliss
in this situation because according to Heb 10:29-31, folks who hear + disbelieve
Jesus' gospel are in greater danger of eternal suffering than those who know
absolutely nothing about him.

(Can you just imagine the chagrin of an educated genius like Mark Zukerberg
doomed to the depths of Hell while an illiterate aboriginal with a bone in his nose is
carried up to the comforts of Heaven?)

Famed rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen passed away recently. He was a Roman
Catholic. I was one myself for 24 years, so I can say from personal experience, that
it's not easy to get into heaven via that version of Christianity.

_
why do protestants always judge and condemn Catholics to Hell (yes, I know, you didn't do that explicitly... but still)

and how can you assume that the Catholic way is not going to get someone to Heaven?

you are WRONG

I was never fully capable of following Jesus and OBEYING Him (even when I did not "feel like it") until I went back to the Catholic faith, and even began studying it and knowing it, which did not happen in my youth to say the least...

The thing I hate most about the Catholic Church is that it is NOT

Catholic enough...

What the Catholic Church used to be is what it should be now...

Nevertheless, the Real Presence is there and THAT is what is most important... and I do not believe anyone gets to Heaven without first being in that Presence... and for a LONG time (considering how abysmally human and sinful we all are... we need to be there a lot)

This below has already defeated ALL your doom
and gloom and pessimism:

{1} The Cross -- the Power of the Cross. "I make all things new"__The Lord Jesus

{2} The Resurrection -- the Power of that empty tomb {Because He lives we can face tomorrow}

{3} The Ascension -- the Power of "I go to my Father"

{4} The Exaltation -- the Power of Christ being NOW seated at the right Hand of God the Father.

.
how can you assume that the Catholic way is not going to get someone to Heaven?

I didn't say it's impossible; I said it's not easy; and for good reason.

Once someone is fully committed to Catholicism by completing First Holy
Communion and Confirmation and undergone Christian baptism --God will be
holding them accountable to comply with everything Rome teaches and stands for:
the Commandments, the Canon Law, the dogma, the rituals, the Traditions, the
Councils, the Bulls, the Encyclicals, the rites, the holy days of obligation, and the
entire Catechism; plus everything that Jesus and the apostles taught in the New
Testament, i.e. all four gospels and all twenty-one epistles, plus Acts and
Revelation.

That's a lot to remember, let alone put into practice.

And then there's the matter of mortal sin. When Catholics leave this life with just
one mortal sin on the books awaiting absolution, just one, they go straight to Hell.
It's a direct flight; no stopover in a Purgatory. Even if a Catholic managed to be a
top performer in faith and practice for fifty years, none of that will be taken into
consideration. They will leave this life as if they'd been a pagan the whole time.
Mortal sins are that lethal.

In addition; the Almighty isn't a political appointee like members of the US
Supreme Court, viz; He isn't biased towards the left or to the right, i.e. the justice
of God is fair across the board regardless of age, race, gender and/or religious
preference, so that joining The Church grants no one a certain amount of special
consideration. (Rom 2:6-11, and 1Pet 1:17)

"If anyone says that he will for certain, with an absolute and infallible certainty,
have that great gift of perseverance even to the end, unless he shall have learned
this by a special revelation, let him be anathema."
(Council of Trent Session 6, Chapter 16, Canon 16)

Job 14:14 . . If a man dies, will he live again?

Back in ancient times; men like Job were attuned to nature. In point of fact, Job
was a very successful rancher; a guy who made his living working outdoors.

Every year he watched things die in the Fall and come back in the Spring. If only
human life were like that; but alas, when people die they typically don't regenerate
like the new leaves on a dormant maple tree.

FAQ: When are people judged: as soon as they die or sometime later?

A: Judgment is somewhat different than condemnation.

For example: according to John 3:18 some folks are condemned while they live.

I'm sometimes asked how it is that the rich man in the story told by Luke 16:19-31
is in flames down in Hades when the judgment depicted at Rev 20:11-15 hasn't
taken place yet. Well, he was condemned before he died. The meanwhile he's
being held in custody awaiting the judgment phase of his condemnation which is
where his just deserts will be decided.

FAQ: Folks not found registered in the Lamb's book of life are sent to the second
death per Rev 20:11-15. Will they be consumed by the brimstone and gone
forever?

A: Adam was warned that were he to taste the forbidden fruit, he would die that
very day (Gen 2:17) and he did, but not in a way readily apparent.

Up to that moment, Adam enjoyed perpetual youth, but upon tasting the fruit, he
lost perpetual youth and began to age, i.e. his body became infected with mortality,
which is a lingering kind of death rather than the kind of death where people drop
dead to the floor of a sudden from strokes, bullets, bludgeons, or falls from a very
high building down onto solid concrete.

In other words: Adam's death was an ongoing process that gradually wore him
down to the point where his body finally gave out, and he passed away.

By comparing the language and grammar of any and all passages related to the
second death, I think we can safely conclude that it too is a lingering death that
apparently will be a perpetual process with no definite end.

Luke 16:27-29 . . I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, for I have
five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of
torment.

The five brothers would more than likely recognize Lazarus because he was laid at
the rich man's gate; so that whenever they came over for a visit; there he'd be for
them to walk past.

But I have to wonder just what exactly would Lazarus tell them about their
deceased brother's circumstances down in the netherworld. Lazarus would likely tell
the men about his own circumstances too.

When Jesus passed away on the cross, he didn't go up, instead he went down;
likely to the section of the afterlife where Abraham was. Jesus called it paradise,
which is translated from a Greek word meaning a park, e.g. New York's central park
where folks can go for walks in nature, play soccer, bicycle, bird watch, boat, take
in entertainment like concerts and events, even dine.

I've a notion there are lots of little children down in that park too and fully
accommodated with plenty of interesting playground equipment, carousels, pony
rides, possibly even a zoo, and quiet places here and there where kids can sit and
listen to stories read to them from books. Who really knows for sure what to expect
in paradise?

Lazarus might then compare all that to their brother's side of the afterlife.

I can well imagine that the men would be fascinated by Lazarus' tale but not
fascinated enough to make a difference because Abraham assured the rich man
that his brothers wouldn't believe Lazarus; and honestly: who in their right mind
would; especially a tale coming from a no-account indigent whose body covered
with sores very likely wasn't even given a decent burial but instead dumped without
ceremony in a landfill somewhere?
