Please consider as I think the topic is a critical part of the christian life/worldview.

Please elaborate....Im hoping you arent referring to Luke 16 to imply a MONEY/INVESTING forum may not be appropiate.

The whole SETTING of the parable, the rich man (God) entrusting the steward with his property, implies that God does choose us and expect us to HAVE money, but to be good stewards of it.

Luke 16 is highlighting the Pharisees (man's) tendency to shortsell the Lord with the resources of which we've been blessed...not just monetary resources, but also alludes to man's tendency to shortsell the gospel, to promote easy believism, to ease our own burdens to worship/serve fully, etc.

The rich man then commends the steward...not to condone his dishonesty...but to highlight his ability/willingness to show shrewdness and wisdom....IN DEALING WITH THE THINGS OF THE WORLD...the whole point being that he could apply himself just as well to spiritual things...but he must choose which master to serve.
