How did Fauci know there was a pandemic coming?

Wrong. I wasn't one that complained about shutting travel when a pandemic hits. I took it seriously.
So what should have Trump done in NOVEMBER?

Keep in mind Fraudci was telling you everything was fine and nothing to worry about in January, even told people in March 2020 to take a cruise.

You GQPeers are scared.
I ain't skeered of nuthin. Certainly not your little Napoleon.

If you desire to keep the Fauci train going, to have him not look worse than your enemy Trump, then you should be scared.

If you are like me and not worried if the little man goes down, then you ain't skeered either.

Trump relied on your expert Fauci for policy. It will all be Fauci's fault.

Doesn't answer my question.

It's in the media. Dig it out

Virtue signalling.
sure it does

your claim to support, not mine

yes my side supports science and scientists while your side puts ideology and fidelity to Trump first.

There was a playbook left by the previous administration on how to prepare for and deal with a pandemic, or an outbreak that could become a pandemic. This was prepared by experts, but was ignored by the Trump administration

Trump sidelined Fauci

Sorry, but you're wrong....again.

Trump did what he was told to do by Fraudci.....it was FRAUDCI that said in January, that we didn't need to worry about this, and in March 2020 Fraudci was telling people to take a cruise....

He is, but now the truth is leaking out....lies from the get go.
Joe even made an announcement, with applause and fanfare, that he will keep Fauci to continue the same work!

I want that kind of sideline, where I do work and don't work at the same time.

There was in fact a playbook that was ignored by Trump.
Who were the medical experts accurately predicting that a half million Americans would die from covid? Trump was not listening to anyone giving him bad news like that.
And Trump did sideline Fauci because Fauci did not go along with Trump's insistence that this pandemic thing was no big deal. Trump instead listened to Scott Atlas who had no relevant experience in infectious diseases or epidemiology.

No he didn't....should have, but didn't...he put that fool out there front and center....
At the beginning, Fauci had a role, but once things got bad and Fauci reported on that, he was pushed aside and replaced with a nonexpert. Trump actually paid more attention to Peter Navarro on covid!

He is still front and center, it makes the claim really strange and silly.
He is front and center in the Biden administration, but he had been sidelined in the Trump administration. He was not going to Task Force meetings or participating in WH press conferences.

Biden restored Fauci's advisory role on the pandemic.

No, there wasn't.

Who were the medical experts accurately predicting that a half million Americans would die from covid?

No one. Fraudci lied about those numbers.

Trump was not listening to anyone giving him bad news like that.

Except he listened to Fraudci.

And Trump did sideline Fauci

No, he didn't. He put that fool front and center with his sidekick Birx.

because Fauci did not go along with Trump's insistence that this pandemic thing was no big deal.

Except Fauci basically said in January that it was no big deal....

and in March of 2020 was telling peeps to take a cruise.

Trump instead listened to Scott Atlas who had no relevant experience in infectious diseases or epidemiology.

Nope. Atlas didn't come along until right before the election. Stop trying to deflect from the fraud Fauci....

But after seeing Fraudcis emails, looks like Atlas was right....

I would have gotten 2nd and 3rd opinions. Faux should have been terminated in March saying cruises are alright if you are young and healthy. That is gross negligence knowing these young healthy people could and died spread the disease.

I also would have went to the public, out of Ronald Reagan's playbook.

ya think?

Young healthy people don't spread disease.

I also would have went to the public, out of Ronald Reagan's playbook.

You have no idea what you would have done because you have no idea what information was being given to Trump.

Here is a PDF of the playbook.

The pandemic was not such an obvious threat in January. If you think Fauci was wrong in downplaying the threat, Trump was the one leading the pack with that claim.

While Fauci might have made missteps, calling him a fraud is quite a leap. He is a distinguished scientist with a long record of accomplishments recorded in his publication record, and he is a highly respected scientific administrator.

I still fail to understand why Fauci is being targeted so intensely by the RW except that he is an accomplished and respected scientist and RWers see that as "elitist".

The best explanation for me is that the RW now work hard to convert the strengths of their political and ideological opponents into weaknesses. They successfully swiftboated Kerry, and they did the same for Max Cleland, a disabled and highly decorated vet running for Senate reelection, who was smeared as unpatriotic! Obama's sterling academic record at Harvard was challenged with falsehoods.
