How does the theology of the thief on the cross fit with SDAism?

The thief on the cross, never kept the sabbath, wasn’t baptised, didn’t keep the law, didn’t know about church history or know about the doctrine of justification by faith alone. And yet he made it to heaven.

Was the thieves salvation based on his own works or on Jesus Christ alone?

Ecc.10:1
Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary
to send forth a stinking savour:
so doth a little folly him that
is in reputation for wisdom and honour.
2 A wise man's heart is at his right hand;
but a fool's heart at his left.
3 Yea also, when he that is a fool walketh by the way,
his wisdom faileth him,
and he saith to every one that he is a fool.
4 If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee,
leave not thy place;
for yielding pacifieth great offences.

And he bearing his cross went forth into a place
called the place of a skull,
which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

18 Where they crucified him,
and two other with him,
on either side one,
and Jesus in the midst.
========================

And with him they crucify two thieves;
the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

28 And the scripture was fulfilled,
which saith,
And he was numbered with the transgressors.

and also this scripture fulfilled
A wise man's heart is at his right hand;
but a fool's heart at his left.

And a superscription also was written over him in letters of
Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew,
This Is The King Of The Jews.

A wise man's heart is at his right hand;

Which malefactors was
"on the Right" or "on the Left"
you know, this one
him that
is in reputation for wisdom and honour.

If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee,
leave not thy place;
for yielding pacifieth great offences.

why was he This Malfactor there

And there was one named Barabbas,
which lay bound with them that had
made insurrection with him,
who had committed murder in the insurrection.

Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him,
Verily I say unto thee,
Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

he said,
It is finished:
and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."

there are two ( 2 ) more lessons in this story
#1:
"tell them Once, tell them Twice,
tell them the third time"
then the blood is on their hands
Luke 23:22
And he said unto them
the third time,
Why, what evil hath he done?
I have found no cause of death in him:
I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.
Then answered all the people,
and said,
His blood be on us, and on our children.

------------------lesson #2------------------

Some of them that stood there,
when they heard that,
said,
This man calleth for Elias.
Malachi 4:5
Behold,
I will send you Elijah the prophet
(the message of)
before the coming of
the great and dreadful day of the Lord:

Elijah;
"I have finished the task the Father gave unto me
it's now in your hands"
Malachi 3:
And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts,
in that day when I make up my jewels;
and I will spare them,
as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return,
and discern between the righteous and the wicked,
between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
..
Remember ye the law of Moses my servant,
which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel,
with the statutes and judgments.

In a nutshell, to whom much is given, much will be required, and the opposite holds true for those who receive but a little. The condemned thief had scant time to do much of anything while dying upon the cross, but what he could do he did do—acknowledged his sin and professed faith in Christ as Lord—which was justifiably enough for him to enter into a saving relationship with the Savior. In the Investigative Judgment, Jesus will stand before the Father in the thief’s stead as both his advocate and surety; that being the case, did Jesus keep the Sabbath, was Jesus baptized, did Jesus keep the law and know about church history and justification by faith? Since the answer to all is yes, the thief will be raised to life and taken to heaven at the Second Coming.

Agape!

The thief will stand before the Judge on that Day to be impartially judged by works like everyone else.

This is the frequent and consistent testimony of Scripture. It doesn't matter if you like that fact or not. Truth is not subject to your personal desires

It fits about as well as does the parable of the rich man and Lazarus...
...A parable is something that "could" or possibly "did" happen.
...A parable is never science-fiction.

The SDA's require a sort of pre General Judgement - which supposedly started in 1844...
...The means Christ Himself ran afoul of SDA Doctrines in teaching that after death.
...A person reaps what they have sown - i.e. bypassing the Investigative Judgement.

None of those are written. Why is the thief on the cross always used to claim he wasn't baptized, or any of those other works. Does anyone see that that thief had more faith than all the apostles put together? He understood that the dying Messiah next to him would "come into His kingdom." He believed in the resurrection. I think of him as a thief that came across Jesus, became a believer, was baptized and even filled with the Spirit due to his supernatural knowledge. Can anyone else see that?

33 And when they were come to the place,

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him,
saying,
If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

40 But the other answering rebuked him,
saying,
Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds:
but this man hath done nothing amiss.

to the young man knowledge and discretion.

5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning;
