How "pro-life" is it to deny the sacrament?

So you would give an organ to save a life whilst you would murder your own offspring?
Interesting, because I consider forced pregnancy (which is what anti-abortion equates to) to be akin to organ theft - another person using parts of your body without your consent.

Well thats the hatred of human reproduction for you. Not for us though because quite obviously this is how reproduction works so there is no forced pregancy to it. If one is a woman and concieves through sexual intimacy then she will become pregnant; hardly forced. If she doesnt want pregnancy then abstain from sexual intercourse or use contraception

I don't hate human reproduction.
I hate excessive human reproduction, and forced pregnancies.

If the government does not extend the right of abortion, that is the same as government-enforced pregnancy.
Note, not government-forced conception - the government is forcing women to stay pregnant, not to get pregnant.

1. Rape?
2. I addressed the "get pregnant vs stay pregnant" objection above.

1. Rape?
2. What if she's already pregnant, and doesn't want to stay pregnant?
"Tough titty - you've made your bed"?

Well rape is forced pregnancy, so yes that isnt a choice any woman would choose. In those circimstances I agree abortion should be an option. The man who raped her should know the extent of his crime, abuse and murder.
So you might be interested in the comments of the transactivist Mirdul Wandhra or whatever his or her name is, telling women to reframe their trauma.

Great - thanks.

I doubt the rapist would care if his victim aborted his baby, to be honest - this is a rapist we're talking about...

True. And US law isn't subject to Scripture. They should be kept separate.
Umm, letting the Catholic church control who is in their fellowship and what they allow, according to the scriptures as they see them, is keeping them separate from the government.

It is you claiming some "constitutional" government right which is trying to force the Catholic church to consider some government right.

Perhaps that hasn't dawned on you yet.
