As i said before, many Hebrew, Aramaic, & Koine Greek words have multiple English meanings, & context doesn't always indicate the best of those meanings in Scripture. Thus, different translators use different meanings.

None of that is lost on GOD. Using several translations gives us a better overview of Scripture & gives the Holy Spirit more to work with as He teaches us.

Salvation from sin is in the person of Jesus Christ and to be saved does not take the physical presence of any bible. However, in the absence of a bible it does takes a faithful preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ who has been saved himself, and knows it, to get anyone else saved. There are some things to understand and the appeal of the scriptures and of God through the preacher is to the fact that every man is a sinner and one's own conscience will condemn him and convict him that he is one. For instance, a man instinctively knows it is wrong to sneak into his neighbors field at night and steal his corn while no one is looking. He knows this whether he has ever even heard of God or the bible or knows anything about the ten commandments where we are commanded not to steal. What this person does not know is that there is one God in heaven who has created all things for his pleasure and he is a totally holy and righteous and just, albeit a merciful and forgiving God and that all men must answer to him for the deeds they do that do not please him. The wage of one single act of disobedience to him, who provides all things to us for life and peace and pleasure, is separation from him forever, unless he himself finds a way to remedy the problem of sin that we all have. And he has done just that by becoming a man and living according to all the pleasure of God and then offering his perfect life as a ransom to buy back all those who are lost. The price was his life for ours. It, his life, is offered as the gift of God if we will take it. The proof that God accepted his sacrifice and that he was perfect is that he rose from the dead after 3 days and was seen of chosen men for 40 days before he ascended back to heaven and who then wrote about it By taking it we acknowledge our own sins and agree with God that our only reconciliation with him is through the sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ and our own attitude towards sin and disobedience is now in line with his and our efforts will be to please him from that point on. Reconciliation is now mutual between God and the sinner and the righteousness and perfection of Jesus Christ is added to our account. The gift of God that is provided for all men through Jesus Christ is himself a person called Life and is provided for all whether it is accepted or not by guilty sinners and God will turn down no one who comes to him in the name of Jesus Christ. Those who do not come while they are living will be eternally separated from God in the only place he has ever created where he has chosen not to be, the lake of fire, which he calls the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Second death? The first death, separation of soul and body, and the second death the eternal separation of soul and body from the presence of God. What will men choose? The eternal presence of God through faith in Jesus Christ or the eternal separation of God. It is a choice.

John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

John 4:42
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

The problem is not that people do not have enough bibles but that they do not believe the ones they have. This is why they keep producing more bibles. The more different ways of salvation they come up with the more bibles they need. They will keep producing more bibles because the testimony of God is in his own chosen words. If one has two bibles that are different he then is forced to make a choice whether one or both or neither is the word of God and is his testimony. It is confusion. Confusion is constantly on display in these forums.

Hopefully some of the posters on this board are born again because they believe the gospel of Jesus Christ but by their own testimony there are some who do not and are deceived. I have heard what they have said about God, Jesus Christ, and the Spirit and it is not what God says. New bibles have not helped them. They are just as lost as if they had a KJV and did not believe the words in it. What difference does it make if a person has a hundred bibles and does not believe any of them concerning what it takes to be saved from his sins? They have been taught by men like RoboCop and others that to have the actual words through which God wants to reveal himself and his ways is an idea to be mocked because it cannot be achieved. The attacks are relentless.

Most people who are anti KJV because of the words are not pro modern translations because of the words in them They will not tell anyone that those words are the words of God any more than the words in the KJV are the words of God. They believe the thoughts of God are to be interpreted by the translators and written down on paper in their own words. This is akin to inspiration if not actual inspiration and only a very few people have the ability to do it. These translators will speak as if their works are not perfect but none of them or no new modern version followers will admit to a single error in any bible but the KJV. It is the thoughts and ideas of God that are inspired to all the rest of us. It is the elevation of men.

The bottom line is that these people believes in a broad way to God. There are going to be some translators burning in the fire I believe. I think the word of God is far more serious than some of you people teach it to be.

Below is an opportunity to prove me wrong. Tell us what is your favorite bible and list the worst three errors in them.

You don't get to play games here.

Step up or step off.
I just gave you one example to make it easier for you.

There are 31,102 verses I can do this with.
Do you really want to walk this dog?

Addendum

As a matter of fact, you pick a few verses where you think the greatest difference between them are, and I'll provide the different translations of them.

Come on. This is your opportunity.
Are you claiming perfection for all these translations?
